As they head to the halfway mark of the NFL season this weekend, what are their real odds of making the NFL Playoffs?FootballOutsiders.com plays the NFL schedule 25,000 times before to determine a team's true potential to reach the playoffs. (The following numbers are from Oct. 27th).Jaguars Very Much AliveAs of this week, all three Florida teams face uphill odds, but believe it or not, the 2-5 Jaguars actually have the best opportunity to win their division. Additionally, the Jaguars have a better chance to win the division than they do to earn a Wild Card.Since the entire AFC South is playing sub-.500 football, the Jaguars trail the Indianapolis Colts (3-4) by a game. They own a 20.4% chance of winning their division. The Colts are heavily favored, however, with 58.9% probability. Based on their two wins, however, the Jags have a 0.5% change of gaining a Wild Card Spot.Are Dolphins Just Getting Started?The Dolphins need to overcome their morbid start with a victory in Buffalo this weekend. Miami is 0-3 in the AFC East and cannot afford to lose another divisional game. The Jets lost in Oakland on Sunday and fell to 4-3, leading the Dolphins by just a game.As it stands, Miami has a 0.9% chance of winning the division (New England rates at 87%), but earns a 15.2% chance of earning a Wild Card slot.The Dolphins need to get through the next few weeks with victories as they are in a stretch of four of five games on the road (including their Thursday night loss in New England).Bucs Helped ThemselvesBefore their comeback victory over Atlanta, the Buccaneers faced just a 4.4% chance of earning a Wild Card place. They failed to gain on New Orleans as the Saints pulled out an amazing victory over the New York Giants on Sunday.Tampa Bay faces teams that could stand in their way over the next few weeks as they prep for the Giants this week, Dallas and Philadelphia.
