so this game scares me a bit because everyone already has us in the playoffs.  The Saints give us trouble

and the team has had trouble with these kind of "should win" games.

they lose this and our boy (haha) Todd Bowles is gone!  Quite Frankly, that would be unacceptable and time for a change.  Cant be favored by 2 touchdowns in a must win game at home and lose the game.  The Bucs management team would then have "cause" to fire him.

Totally agree. I thin k we win, but notihng is easy in the NFL and especially with a longstanding rival

If you completely discount injuries (eg just part of the job) they already have cause because their argum ent would be that the team regressed (by losing twice to the Falcons)  or they don't see a second season with a dip and then frantic recovery as "progress."

well all depending on definition of improvement.

by my definition, that would be advancing further in the playoffs.  After all, i stated that last year was our most successful Non-Brady year since the Bucs hoisted the Lombardy back in the 2002 season.  My reasoning being that we won a damn playoff game.

so by that definition, they would need to make it to the NFC Champ game, which if we get the 3rd seed, could happen!

but, by an organization's definition of improvement, they may simply look at the whole body of work.  So while Todd isn't an offensive guy, the offense improved greatly, Baker improved, the run game, offensive line.  This year's schedule was much more difficult than last years.  We also did not have Godwin this year (albeit, i blame Todd for that, but a high level executive may suggest freak incident)

simply put, with a Bucs win on Sunday, i just dont see them getting rid of Todd Bowles.  Would actually be quite surprised. If the Lions can keep their OC, i am sure we will be able to keep ours...but the Bucs will have to pony up some cash.  and if they fire Bowles, they have to pay him anyway, so their best course of action may be to try 1 more year of this marriage and then make a call this time next year when Bowles will have just 1 year left on his deal.
