QB- Round 1 (Marcus/Jameis), Free Agency (Brian Hoyer/Austin Davis), Mike GlennonThese are the only legit options: Winston, Mariota, Hoyer, Davis, or Glennon. And you can pretty much cross Davis off the list. He played admirably for STL without any receivers, but is just a good backup. Like Derek Anderson. And while Hoyer was decent for CLE, I'm just not buying his stock, nor the price tag he's likely to command. Our only options are Winston, Mariota, or Glennon. Of course many will rule out Glennon automatically. But put JW or MM in the same situation Glennon was in last season and try to tell me with a straight face that they could have done any better. Jameis would have thrown more pics and Marcus would have been killed under that kind of pressure. Glennon, in 2015, gives us as good a chance of winning as either of those rookie QBs. If you want to win a Super Bowl next year Glennon is your man. Like it or not. RB- Martin and Sims are locks for roster spots and they will lead the charge at RB. Rainey will walk in free agency, and for some reason the coaches don't believe in Mike James very much. A third RB is necessary. Either in the mid-late rounds, UDFA, or a low level free agent.FB- We do not have a FB. Jovorskie Lane will not return. Henry Hynoski would be a great free agent addition on the cheap. He is fantastic as run blocking. Another guy I like in the late rounds ais Tyler Varga out of Yale. Tough blocker, but also has some running ability and truly loves the game. I'm already referring to him as baby Alstott. He's cut from the same cloth as the HOFer.TE- I actually think we're good here. ASJ will dominate if he is finally healthy next year. I have no doubt there. Brandon Myers is a good #2. And with Luke Stocker being a Free Agent I think we let him walk and promote Cameron Brate from the Practice Squad. He's an under the radar guy who has impressed me quite a bit in practices and limited playing time. The Bucs are pretty high on him. Only question is can any of these guys block in running situations? I don't think it matters much. I prefer adding an extra tackle in goal line situations.WR- Evans is a boss. But he can't do it alone. VJax is a good #2 at this point in his career, and a big help to Godzilla. But he is very expensive. Either he restructures for more like 7-8m, or you trade him for a 3rd to KC/SEA/etc.. If he stays, we need a guy like Tyler Lockette in the 3rd/4th. A guy who can return kicks and contribute as a #3 to push Murphy. If Jackson goes, we need Lockette plus a FA like Mike Wallace/Jeremy Maclin, or a 3rd round rookie like Dorial Green-Beckam or Rashad Greene. Or, if you pass on the QBs just take Cooper and be loaded for the next ten years.OT- Obviously we need a guy. Or two. Pamphile could start but is probably best as a 2nd string guy. Demar should be decent at LT but we need a starter in round 1/2. There are a lot of quality tackles to be had: Ereck Flowers, Andrus Peat, Brandon Scherff, Cedric Ogbuehi, La'el Collins, TJ Clemmings, Ty Sambrailo, Cameron Erving, Donovan Smith, Sean Hickey. Which is good because thr only free agents are a pricey RT Brian Bulaga, and an aging Michael Roos coming off knee surgery. I like Flowers in the first if we pass on the QBs and Cooper is gone. In the 2nd I REALLY like La'el Collins more and more each day.C- Evan Dietrich-Smith didn't have a great year, but it's hard to look good when the guys around you are softer than specialty Charmin. The Bucs like his leadership and think he can be solid going forward. I think it's important to get someone who can play the role in a pinch and I've set my sights on Florida G/C Max Garcia, who would be a great pickup in the 4th/5th round.G- Mankins is the only guard on the roster I could stomach seeing as a starter next season. We definitely need at least 2 guys. Garcia can be a good RG, but we need another guy as Mankins is clearly on the decline. There are many guys in the draft: Arie Kouandjio, Laken Tomlinson, AJ Cann, Josue Mathias, Tre Jackson, Jamil Douglas. But there are also a handful of free agents worth a look: Mike Iupati, Orlando Franklin, James Carpenter, Clint Bolling. Imo, we're best to take one in the draft (round 3) and one in Free Agency too. Plus Garcia in the 5th.Offense: We can go 1. Winston/Mariota 2. Collins 3. Tomlinson 4. Jaquiski Tartt 5. Max Garcia and that would be a decent haul. But I prefer more picks, resulting in a stronger overall roster. For example, 1. Cooper 2. Collins 2. Kouandjio 3. CB Kevin White 3. Tyler Lockette 3. ILB Paul Dawson *VJax trade nets us an extra 3rd after we snag Cooper* 4. RB Jay Abushi 5. Max Garcia we can see what we really have with Glennon this way and we fill more holes plus we can cut Mankins for James Carpenter and still have the cap to sign JPP and Devon McCourtey. How do you choose a project QB over a stacked roster like that? Not to mention the future picks we have in this scenario..DE- Sure Michael Johnson has disappointed thus far, but he isn't going anywhere this year. We have to decide on resigning Clayborn which I think we only do IF we miss out on JPP. If we get JPP I think we roll with JPP, Johnson, Smith, Gholston, and an UDFA project. If we miss on JPP, resign Clayborn, and take a guy in round 2 like Orchard, Dupree, or Ki'kaha. Of course, to do this we would have to pass on QB and gain that extra 2nd.DT- Probably our best unit right now. McCoy, McDonald, and Spence are a really good 1,2,3. Add in an UDFA and we'll be fine. No need to waste Free Agent money or draft picks here unless you take Leonard Williams as a DE/DT hybrid in round 1, though this is not going to happen.LB- Lavonte needs to be resigned this off-season. Foster is a guy I'd like to keep for a year but I am not about to franchise tag him or offer him a multi-year deal. So he ends up walking. This leaves a hole that can't be filled in Free Agency, and unfortunately there are not any GREAT cover-2 LBs to be drafted. Perryman isn't any better of a fit for us than Foster is. He can't drop back deep. The best fit for us would be early 3rd rounder Paul Dawson out of TCU. He's the best coverage LB in the draft and ultra productive in college. I don't love him as a rookie starter, but there isn't much choice when it comes to ILB. This position must be addressed in 2016. Lansanah is versatile, fast and physical. A great candidate for a 3-4 year deal. I like Orie Lemon as a cheap resigning and Brandon Magee has shown some flashes here and there, and like Lemon, he can contribute on Special Teams. We still need another guy to compete and provide depth. I will be scouring the UDFA guys for a decent developmental backer.S- Golson is meh. McDougald is questionable in the run game, but very active in coverage. I like our depth with Wright/Tandy, but we need a starting caliber guy. Imo, we're best off cutting Goldson and signing McCourtey. Even if we pay him 9m. If we pass on QB and take Cooper, we can trade VJax and give his money to McCourtey. This would be a great move. If we can't get Devon, I'm looking at Gerod Hollimon of Louisville, Jaquiski Tartt of Ole Miss, and a guy I really like in Quinten aRollins who look more like a S than a CB to me. But versatile enough to play both.CB- I like our starters in Vernor/Banks but this is maybe our thinnest position outside of the O Line. Leonard Johnson improved near the end of the season but isn't a starter imo. He could remain as depth on a league minimum deal. But we need to add at least a couple of guys. Again, this can only be accomplished in a trade down in round 1. I like TCU's Kevin White and Louisville's Senquez Golson as slot guys. I also really like Steven Nelson out of Oregon State, a guy who plays like a vet and can play outside or inside.  I also would love to get Justin Coleman in the late rounds as a sleeper prospect from Tennessee.K- We're set with Patrick Murray coming off a nice rookie season.  One question to be answered though, can he handle kickoffs now that Koenen is off the team?P- Kyle Christy is the best of this year's draft class. If he goes undrafted we should lock him up, though we will have some competition with ARI and a couple other teams.KR- We need a guy to handle kicks and punts, and we need a guy to play slot. This makes Tyler Lockette and Devin Smith good prospects for us. I also like Jamison Crowder, but he offers less on offense.Considering all of our needs, I can't help but put my desire for Winston aside, and propose a trade down. We have to address FB, OT, G, G, CB, CB, S, DE, ILB, LB... If we take a QB we only fill maybe three of those holes. If we trade down we fill them all. And it's not like we'd be going with McCown. Glennon can manage the offense just fine.1- WR Amari Cooper 2- OL La'el Collins2- G Arie Kouandjio3- WR Tyler Lockette3- ILB Paul Dawson4- CB Steven Nelson5- G/C Max Garcia5- LB Ramik Wilson6- CB Justin Coleman7- WR Rannell Hall^ That draft class, along with JPP, McCourtey, and Hynoski leaves us with only ILB and QB as ?s.Our roster would be set. And we'd know for certain what we have in our 'QB of the future'. If Glennon can't hack it with that roster and with Koetter calling the shots, then we can go all- in for QB next year with plenty of ammunition to do it. Which sounds better than watching a rookie QB unsuccessfully struggle to put a team, devoid of talent, on his back.Trade Down.......... Please!!!
