I’ve been thinking about this a bit lately.

Let’s say you put a rating, 1-10 on a prospect. That will let you rank people by position, but you won’t be able to do it cross-position because not all positions are equal in the draft (due to myriad reasons including longevity, propensity for injury, actual impact on results, salary scale of rookie contracts at position vs 2nd contracts).

Real easy thing to do is just come up with a coefficient to scale the ratings.

If you’re multiplying a QB prospect by 100 % of its rating (so that is the standard), how would you put your coefficients for the other positions.

I think this will be an interesting conversation because it will likely swing pretty wildly at particular positions.

Here is my go:

QB 100
EDGE/DL 95
LT/MAN CB 92.5
IOL/RT/WR 90
MIX CB 87.5
* AAOBLB/* AARB/Y TE/* AAS 85
S/* SR/TE 82.5
RB/* 2DLB 80

* key

All Around Off Ball LB
All Around RB
All Around Safety
Slot R
2 Down LB
