For a minute, lets all assume we take one of the lesser QB's at #7. (Not that I think we should or will)So we are talking Fales or Carr...etc. We get into camp and Glennon beats him out for the starting job but through the year doesnt really show that he is "the guy" but is still shows he is better than our Fales/Carr pick. That means we wasted a 1st round pick in 2014, and a 3rd round pick in 2013. So what then? With the 2015 QB class looking deep...we go QB again? So drafting a QB three years in a row hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.Or, in that scenario do we skip over QB in the deepest QB class in years simply because we went QB in 13/14?This is a very realistic scenario if we go QB at #7.
Well Carr @7 is a nightmare. But QB is a position that I don't mind using draft picks on. It's so important that in my eyes, i'd be okay drafting a QB every year until we find one.

I also dont mind. Wouldnt mind if we took that E. Washington kid in the 2nd. Im just saying, lets assume we take Carr/Fales and they get beat out by Glennon. That has disaster written all over it. Now if somehow JFF/Bridgewater were to drop...that changes the scenario.
No choice, it is the Ponder situation where you have the mediocre vet backed up by the worse young player. Vikes are back into the QB market.
The only difference in the latter scenario is your confidence that they would beat out Glennon. That risk always exists when drafting a QB, that it won't fix the position and you'll have to do it again.
If you draft a QB 7th it won't be a fair competition. They are going to hand him the job.

Its not confidence...its part of the assumption to build the nightmare scenario described. If Glennon loses the competition we dont have the same scenario. Yes I assumed that part, but for the sake of discussion.
I'd rebuild the OL. They could actually draft a franchise QB and ruin him without that in place.
I think we should trade up for Clowney.
Offensive line is just as important as the QB position. Really, how good is Aaron Rodgers if he's on the sideline injured?
Then you go right back to the well and try again
Then you go right back to the well and try again
So 3 QB's in 3 years?

Normally I would agree with that statement. However, the Seahawks paid Flynn $25 mill., only to get beat out by a third rounder.
Well let's not even bother then. We can be the Chicago Bears, pre Cutler.

Interestingly enough.... Cue Lovie Smith, who was pre Cutler.
