Agree the Big 4 OTs may be gone by 14 which sucks.
Don't agree the Bucs should take a RB in round one to in SRs words "complement and challenge" Ronald Jones. Here are RBs who have been taken 14 or higher in recent years: Barkley, Fournette, McCaffrey, Elliot, Gurley. Gordon was 15. Those backs weren't brought in to complement and challenge. They were brought in with the idea of dominating in a RUN HEAVY offense. OK if the next Christian McCaffrey is staring at you don't worry about your team needs, but is Taylor in that category?
Agree with the trade up with NE to take Josh Jones. Trading Howard has been an idea tossed around for a while now. but you don't shoot yourself in the foot by trading away a productive, albeit flawed, starter to move up to take someone who will ride the bench and not be productive in 2020. Jones should step in and start right away.
OK so SR addresses the offense, including offensive line. But the defense got shorted here with only a Rd 6 ILB and a CB. No safety or D-line which are both going to be huge needs if we are relying on aging vets Suh and JPP to be our starters. And what SR maybe didn't notice is that the position the Bucs interviewed the most was OLB, and most were not of the top 10 variety, which makes me think that the Bucs want to add at least one linebacker in the middle rounds. I think waiting until 6th is too late.
