Clearly something is wrong with Camarda. He has played very bad the past two weeks. It could be an injury, an illness, or something in his personal life that is distracting him. Could PR please try to do some reporting on this?
In my view the Bucs should sign another punter this week and let them compete in practice for the right to start. He is hurting this team and if he punts like he did against New Orleans, that would likely cost us a close game. Bowles is always so glacially slow to observe and react to these kinds of personnel issues. I really don't think he cares about winning enough to be decisive.
If I were him, I would also replace Stinnie with either Feiler or someone else. Stinnie can't pass block to save his life and it kills our downfield passing game. It also could get Baker knocked out of the game early on Monday night.
Saints game - directional punting keep the ball away from 22 he wasn’t good at it
panthers game- practicing directional punting again until he started to just boom it instead.
reason he’s practicing don’t think he’s injured at all, also maybe kickoffs are wearing down his leg.
Feiler stinks
Thanks Mic -- that's interesting. I still would like some reporting on this from PR. If he shanks again in the playoffs that's a fireable offense though. What you typed above are excuses. You practice stuff in practice, not in games. And if you shank mutliple punts in one must-win game, you either figure it out in practice afterward or don't try it again in the next must-win game. Also, the one(s) he "boomed" were terrible punts -- 60 year line drives that were returned for 30 yards. He has declined significantly the second half of the season. I think it's time to bring in competition.
The problem is:
Seth McFarlane isn't a natural punter, by trade.
He's a voice-over guy and a writer.
Good Punting right now just isn't in The Family Guy script.
If I was on the team, I'd be constantly asking him to say "Dammit, just punt it inside the 20!!" in Stewie's voice... 🤣 🤣 🤣
