I don’t think he is getting fired
@bucharbour - question. Going off your point that we haven’t seen enough of Trask, are you then okay with saying we go into 2023 with Trask as our starter? That’s a huge risk. I’m all for Trask getting to battle it out with a FA veteran or a high draft pick. But I’m not Gator enough to feel comfortable that he’s the answer.

They need to figure out what Brady is doing first. You can't fire Leftwich until you consult Brady, if Brady is coming back. I'm not saying you can't fire him, but you have to include Brady in the conversation. If Brady isn't coming back of course you can fire away. But Brady needs to make a decision about his career quickly. If Brady does want to come back to the Bucs, he needs to be all in.
I think he'll announce his retirement very soon, because the team needs to know and because he doesn't need to be fueling more rampant speculation that will do nothing but get louder and louder by the day. Every word Brady utters will be scrutinized for clues. He totally botched his retirement last year. He'll want to get it right this year. He knows he's done. Just waiting for the right time, and that right time is pretty much right now. We'll see. Obviously I could be totally wrong, but that's my guess.

The sooner the better. Negative influence on this franchise. WTF are you waiting for?
I hope I'm wrong, but I can sense they're getting ready to strike up the "injuries were the only thing wrong last year" argument.

You know it's coming.
Or, if Brady leaves/retires, they'll scapegoat him.
They'll claim the schedule next season is soft and the division is weak.
Unless they are trying to tank to get #1 pick to get franchise qb
From JBF
Yesterday in his season-ending press conference, Bowles all but promised a new-look Bucs in a few months.
“You can’t afford everybody,” Bowles said of the many Bucs free agents. “So we’ll try to make the right decisions going forward.
“I thanked everybody for their efforts and when you come back here, we’ll see a different culture, different chemistry and camaraderie.”
The real issue with this team is the o-line. Jensen out all year, Smith is pathetic at LT. The loss of Marpet and Cappa were underestimated IMO. Last year Brady had time to set up and give the WR's time to run routes....not this year. Sure, Brady is 45 going on 46, but the dude still has game in my opinion...maybe not the Brady of years past, but he still has game.

this year Arians said this was the most talented Buc team he’d seenlmaofans mostly buy the bs the team sells
Brady doesn’t need to be scapegoated he was part of the problem. Impossible to deny he did not have some of his typical leadership this season. I mean the guy is legendary for his off season work WITH TEAMMATES, as an easY example. This year he was MIA for a lot of things.
not faulting him just discussing the reality that he was NOT as focused this season as in past seasons going by his own incredibly high standards

Yes, but that's the NFL. You aren't going to have a perfect O-line. Nobody does. Your left tackle is out for the season. Your rookie draft pick is a bust. This kind of stuff happens all the time and it can cause difficulties, but teams deal with it and don't go into the tank as much as the Bucs did. There's more to the picture than just the Oin -line.
1) I think with Brady you need a perfect O-line more than other QBs because he has no ability to extend plays. So that means you can't extend drives by making something out of nothing once in a while. You need a perfect O-line with Brady, and we probably aren't going to have one. So why do you think the results will be any different with Brady next year? 2) Leftwich did not change anything. His job is to stay ahead in this chess game and come up with a different approach if they have figured you out. When things are clicking they're clicking, like the first half against the Bengals, but when they were clicking they just totally stalled out. Leftwich kept going with the same approach and between he and Brady they didn't get it done. Leftwich has to go. We need someone with some new ideas. But we need to move on from the whole Brady show and get on with the next chapter.
