This marks the first time that the Buccaneers and Cowboys have ever met in the preseason.
The Bucs will also be making just their second preseason trip to Pittsburgh. Coincidentally, the last time they did so (1996) they also had a new head coach (Tony Dungy) who had previously coached in Pittsburgh.

Always like having the third preseason game, in which the starters play the longest, at home. It's also nice to have the fourth one on the road.
In putting out the preseason opponents, the Bucs also confirmed that they will hold joint practices with the Dolphins prior to the team's Week Two matchup in Tampa. Dates and times TBD.
