Carlton Davis looks like Sylvester Stallone. Seriously, watch his press conference today. There’s even these subtleties of facial/head movements when he talks that remind my of Sly.
As far as what we’ve seen of his TC play this far; top notch. Very much looking forward to getting some extended looks of him in the tape of the 1st preseason game. But thus far, his feel, length, physicality, technique, ball awareness, and movement skills at that size look to be translating quite well.
Same thing goes for MJ Stewart. The college tape I reviewed of him was up an down (struggles were mostly about finding/playing the ball in the air on downfield throws and mugging/holding at deeper route stems in off coverage or he’d give up separation), but he definitely appears to be a high IQ player that can stay attached to receivers if he’s allowed to play tight or press. Our Nickel position plays pretty much exclusively press regardless of coverage, so I’m anxious to see how he fairs next Thursday.
Beyond our rookie DBs, I’m anxious to see Benenoch and Capps Pass Block from the RG position. Cappa has struggles there at the Senior Bowl and we all know Caleb’s issues at the end of last year.
