Pro Bowl Draft will air Jan. 22 in three-hour primetime showBy John Breech | CBSSports.comDecember 12, 2013 6:05 pm ETThe new 2014 NFL Pro Bowl uniforms that Pro Bowl draftees will be wearing in January. Get your mock drafts ready. No, not those mock drafts, your Pro Bowl mock drafts. The NFL announced on Thursday that the first-ever Pro Bowl Draft will be held on Jan. 22. And because you can never devote enough television time to the NFL, the draft will be televised live on the NFL Network. The Pro Bowl Draft is happening because back in July, the NFL decided it wanted to spice up the Pro Bowl by changing the game's format. Instead of the AFC against the NFC, January's Pro Bowl will feature two teams that will be selected in the Jan. 22 draft. Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders will each be serving as captains at the draft and those two players will have final say over who ends up on their team. The NFL will announced on Dec. 27 the 88-players who were voted into the Pro Bowl by the fans, players and coaches.Because the NFL doesn't want anyone to get bored, the first part of the draft -- which features offensive linemen, defensive linemen and special teams players -- will be held on Jan. 21 and won't be part of the NFL Network's live telecast. Besides the whole draft thing, the NFL has also announced that each team will be wearing new Nike-designed uniforms for the game. Obviously, I can't expect you to put together an accurate mock draft without knowing all the rules of the Pro Bowl Draft, so if you want to check them out, you can find them here. The Pro Bowl -- you know, the actual game -- will be played on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. ET.
NFL overkill. >:(
Who cares about the damn Pro Bowl?It is, indeed, overkill.
Should be an award, not a game. Poor Brian Mooreman would agree http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKgv6vX8_Js
Who the fuck wants to watch three hours if this boring ass shhhheeeiittt.
I'll be watching
As someone mentioned, name the players, no need to play the game. Can you imagine what this place would be like, if McCoy or Lavonte got seriously hurt ?
Who cares about the damn Pro Bowl?
The entire state of Hawaii
I bet the "draft" gets better ratings than the PB itself.
Overkilll to say the least.

bahahaha that's awesome. that is how the Pro Bowl should be played, just like a real game. at this point it needs to just be an honor and a charity flag football game with a skills challenge
