Lets start with the obvious:
OFFENSIVE MVP
Demar Dotson RT
His pass blocking (without help) and run blocking are routinely dominate week to week. He's played at an All Pro level.
DEFENSIVE MVP
Lavonte David WLB
Despite missing two games, he has the following line in 7 games:
Tackles 51 (43 solo)
Sacks 0.0
FF 4 (are you kidding me...in 7 games?)
FR 4 (are you kidding me...in 7 games?)
Int 0
TDs 1 (should be 2 after that utter ref failure last game)
PD 1
Run Stuffs 5
And he's (again) been a premiere pass defender both in Man and in Zone drops.
He's played at an All Pro level, but this league fails miserably at recognizing/understanding the value of his play, so I'm sure he'll get bypassed somehow.
ALI MARPET C
His transition had some snap struggles, but it is the primary causal component for an OL that has been one of the best in the league in pass protection. We rarely see pressure up the middle (because of him) and when we do, it is because one of our OGs lost leverage. He's communicated protections great and called the correct ones against blitzes pretty much across the board. He's been + in the run game.
DESEAN JACKSON WR
Yeah, this isn't going to happen due to his numbers, but I wanted to call this one out. I've NEVER, not in my life, seen a WR that routinely gets as open as DJax does. Be it Slants, Drives, Shallow Crosses, Digs, Deep Comeback, Skinny Posts, Posts, Stutter and Go, (straight) Go...the guy gets a RIDICULOUS amount of separation. Its just absurd. I've never seen anything like it.
If we would could just accurately throw the ball to him, he would have 800+ yards and 7 TDs right now (on pass for 1500+ and well into double digit TDs).
Guy has been fantastic.
