Basically aligns with what i've said that if Brady didn't believe he was cooked, he had his option to play for the super team

You’re right.

He did.

He was ready to move on to the next chapter of his life.

Like millions of others do in life, even when they most likely have a few more productive years left.

It’s not a difficult concept to grasp.

Neither is a super star staying a season too long.

it’s basically a sports cliche

Since it's such a cliche, can I get the list of superstar QB's that stayed a season too long and threw for 4,600+ yards and 25+ TD's? Shouldn't be too hard to give me at least five such cliches.

I'm guessing I'll get this list after I receive player-by-player comparison to the Atlanta Falcons, who you said was better than Tampa Bay.

Buggsy, if you think I am going to respond to your childlike strawman you’re more of a lump than you seem.

and that’s saying something

when Brady returned the Bucs were immediately a top Super Bowl contender. How did that work out?

it didn’t. The guy you wanted to bench after the falcons gave (but later lied about it lol) outperformed “one year too many” Brady in stats, record and playoffs and most importantly … LEADERSHIP

Now go back to your 9 year and running quest to understand the meaning of the word “objective” as in “PFF stats are objective”

let's see 2022 for Brady standards.

his only losing season of his 23 year career

lowest touchdown pass total since 2019 his last year in New England and before that going back to 2013 when he had 25 and 2006 when he had 24.

Lowest average per attempt of 6.4 since 2002 when he was at 6.3

lowest QBR since they started tracking it in 2006

lowest rating since again that 2019 season and before that the 2013 season and then aforementioned 2006 season.

wonder how the offense he was overseeing points per game compared to prior years as well. Bucs were at 18.4 pts per game versus 2020 and 2021 at 30 points per game.  Even New England in 2019 was at 26 pts per game and in 2013 at 28 and 2006 at 24.

it was the worst year of Brady's career which as i stated last year, if somebody matched that, they will get a contract extension with mediocre QB play (top 15 QB play - alas Baker Mayfield) but by Brady standards, he doesn't want to be top 15...he wants top be top 3.

i for one am happy he retired a Buc.  he likely didnt want to be labeled a ring chaser and wasn't confident in his abilities anymore that he would be able to deliver one for stacked SF.

Oh no, I'm fully aware you aren't capable of backing up your bullshit. I've seen it time and time and time again. I'm just demonstrating that for the others who haven't pegged you yet.

And lolz @ strawman.  Completely shameless.

Easy direct example, Ben Rothlisberger. Won more awards than I care to list. Played from something like 2005 until 2021

2019 Big Ben is out most of the season injured

2020 he comes back he throws for a near career year, 3800 yard and 30 + Tds and the team goes 12-4 wins the divisions, but then bows out in the playoffs, wild card I think. THE KIND OF SEASON THAT MIGHT MAKE YOU THINK . . "IF HE JUST CAME BACK ONE MORE TIME"

2021 BEN COMES BACK.  His stats are pretty similar and good BUT team goes 9-7 (being only .500 most of the dysfunctional season), 2nd in the division and, JUST LIKE THE 2022 BUCS,  gets BLASTED in the first playoff game.

CLICHE - "phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays a lack of original thought"

Jordan played 2 season with the Wizards etc etc etc. Its an absolute cliche.

If you can find an adult to help you manage "the Google" you could search for "athletes staying too long" and find DOZENS of lists

The thing is Buggsy KNOWS this point ^^^ beats him BEFORE he posts his troll.

The telltale sign of a troll isn't Buggsy's steady stream of name calling, it is his willingness to contradict himself post to post and to post all manner of false hoods (like the strawmen or clipped quotes or FAKE quotes or stats completely out of context).

Because the POINT is JUST TO START AN ARGUMENT

listen.  i love Brady.  it was the best 2 years of being a Bucs Fan.  We were expected and had a chance to win every Sunday.  I like Brady so much that i root every sunday against the Chiefs because i don't want Mahomes to catch him.

but there are 3 undisputed polarizing facts

1.  Julio Jones, indeed was not AB 2.0.  I got that one wrong

2.  Baker Mayfield had a good year and Bucs in 2023 were actually enjoyable to watch as oppose to 2022.  Many, it took until the Eagles win to get their heads out of their asses to get on board with what every single other pundit has been saying all season long. Some...heads still in said ass.

3.  Father time caught up a bit with Brady (the guy was fuckin 45 years old) in 2022 and Leftwich was not a good playcaller.  Both, remarkable benefited from a stacked supporting case including Gronk, Evans, Godwin, AB, Fournette, Marpet, Jensen, and Wirfs.  Half of those names did not participate in 2022 season.  Again, the pundits would agree but we were in denial as Brady brought us a ring.  I didn't admit it last year but after seeing mediocre Baker perform by this offensive line, i realized Brady's immobility and not willing to take a hit to extend a play an extra second also contributed to our downfall.

The thing that most people denied about last year AS IT WAS HAPPENING was that the team itself was in disarray.  It was and a lot of that disarray was DIRECTLY related to Brady's late decision to come back.

Brady comes back . . HC quits, names his second guy as new HC . .  but he has to keep the old head coach's staff . . etc.
