I would be ok with Lock , big big arm , can throw on the move , scramble if need be , lots of size , and still only 26 , let him and Trask battle it out
if they both stink draft a QB in 24
Seahawks Color Analyst Dave Wyman believes that Dave Canales will push hard for QB Drew Lock
Lock would certainly fit the type of vet QB they could bring in. I would still give Trask an edge over Lock if I were the team. He's never started, so you can't go through this season without giving him a shot. Lock should be "competition" for camp, but should be the back-up during the season, unless or until Trask proves he can't play in this league, which I seriously doubt will be the case. It doesn't do this franchise any favors to not find out this year, when you're sucking up cap hits, whether or not Trask can be the guy going forward. You need to know entering next year's draft.
If Lock comes in he would be the favorite because of his familiarity with Canales. Lock has had starting experience. If Lock is going to remain a backup, he might as well stay in Seattle. If Canales brings him in, it's to have at least a 50% chance to start.Lock would certainly fit the type of vet QB they could bring in. I would still give Trask an edge over Lock if I were the team. He knows the system and he’s a free agent
still young , tremendous arm
He knows the system
Serious question, why are you saying Lock knows the system? Has Canales come out and said he will be running the same system Waldron ran? They only worked together for two years, while Canales was in Seattle's organization for over a decade. He's not married to Waldron's system based on his career.
Don't get me wrong, I hope he does - as I like what Waldron did in Seattle.
He likes to run the ball , Bowles likes to run the ball
I don’t see him coming in and doing the complete opposite of what’s he been around
you won’t be seen any QB on the Bucs throwing 700 times a year like Brady did this past year
guess will have to wait and see
He likes to run the ball
Everybody "likes" to run the ball. He's been a QB coach and Passing Game Coordinator over the last five seasons, so I suspect he "likes" to pass the ball too.

Seattle ranked 23rd in Rushing attempts and 15th in Passing attempts last season. Seattle hasn't been running the ball like they did a decade ago the last few seasons.
Waldron is a creative playcaller, hopefully Canales is the same.

Let's hope not. Hopefully the team will be able to move the ball and score early when the opposing defenders aren't calling out what is coming, unlike when your unemployed buddy was running the show. Hell, he couldn't even get a college OC job - losing out to Notre Dame's TE coach.

I think the team plans to see what they have in Trask this year so they know if they have the long-term solution or not. They drafted him for a reason, and I think some of Bowles comments kind of tilted towards a belief that Trask should have been developed more this past season and given more opportunities to back up Brady. Licht drafted him, so I know what he thinks of him. So don't be so sure Lock would be the "favorite". Besides, I think, long term, Trask will be the better QB.
BA on Brady’s play this season
Asked to say what went wrong last season, Arians pointed to injuries to key Bucs leaders like Ryan Jensen and Shaq Barrett. He also implied that Tom Brady wasn’t leading — or playing — in his usual way.
“Tom wasn’t himself, you know, with all the things that were going on,” Arians said. “And I got to give him all the credit in the world for battling through what he went through last year for his teammates. I think the world of him but it wasn’t the real Tom Brady out there.”
I said that all year
I felt the same way too. But the majority of the board was so blinded by the ghost of Brady past that they couldn't see what was really happening to our offense. So somebody else had to take the blame and fall on the sword
Brady dropped from #9 to completely out of the PFF rankings but the self anointed high IQ's on this board couldn't process that. Dumbasses!!!!!
Dumb and dumber , those two can decide who the dumber one is , it’s close. ,

Coming from the guy who claims that "play action isn't effective unless you run the ball well".
Almost as comical as you boasting in the 1st half of the SB thread, only to cower away like a baby back b*tch the entire 2nd half.
