Just heard on 98.7, signed new deals this morning.Looks like the Bears panicked.

7 years? Doubt that is a 7 real years. I'm guessing this is a bloated contract with a lot of fake figures in it.

The Bears weren't going to let Cutler twist in the wind as he careened toward free agency in March. Now, at least on paper, they have their strong-armed franchise quarterback locked up through 2020, his age-37 season. It's a bold move from GM Phil Emery, as Cutler has been to the playoffs just once in his eight-year career and has a mediocre 56-48 career regular season record. But in his first year under quarterback whisperer Marc Trestman, Cutler posted five-year highs in passer rating (89.2), yards per game (238.3) and completion percentage (63.1). There's still reason to believe he can become elite and the Bears have moved their chips to the middle to bet on it.per Rotoworld
