Saw this article and it made me think about how these teams could affect the up coming draft.Link: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000618335/article/six-nfl-teams-that-need-to-draft-a-quarterback-in-2016 Also, after yesterday, I'd have to add the Arizona Cardinals to that list and possibly the Bears as well even though Cutler had a good year for him, but that said, I'm not certain the 49'ers will consider themselves quarterback needy. It's been said every year that this is a quarterback driven league, every draft 2-3 quarterbacks tend to go higher than what they should because teams are looking for that franchise quarterback. As a result, that ends up pushing some talent further down to teams in the top 10.According to this list, 3 teams that might be looking for quarterback help are picking above us and one not too far below us so it's conceivable that 2 to 3 quarterbacks could be picked before we are on the clock. I'm convinced that Cleveland will take a quarterback and I'm pretty sure that Dallas will too. The only question is if one of the other quarterback desperate teams will try to trade up to get the 3rd ranked one. Both the Eagles and the Rams could be one of those teams. So if two quarterbacks go off the board before our pick, we are looking at a top 7 non-quarterback player. And about Glennon:You also have 3 possible wild card teams that might be looking for a better quarterback solution in Texans, Bears and Cards. These 3 teams could be shopping for a quarterback that has experience, yet young enough to be a leader for a few years. Both the Texans and the Cards are in the 'win now' mode and might be willing to part with a #2 for Glennon. Here's the thing, Licht isn't going to give Glennon away for a #3 since he'll get that as a comp pick in 2017, so it's going to take a #2 or better to get him. After yesterday's meltdown, I think Arizona will be looking even if they commit to Palmer for one more season. Have to believe they will at least call us. The Texans could be a team to watch as well as O'Brien has said a lot of nice things about Glennon in the past as well. Might not happen, but another second round pick would be really nice for us this year. Both teams have low 2nd's that might need another pick to swing the deal, but while Licht has said that the Bucs are not shopping Glennon and talks about how valuable he is to the team, I'm thinking that what he really wants to do is swing that trade this year and get the picks this year for the team. JMO.
