Does anyone know exactly how LB's are used in this scheme?
I think the 3 d Linemen that will be on the field are probably McCoy, JPP, and Vea... right?
Then, there is a big LB who rushes from a two-point stance, right? And, on the current roster... that is what Nassib, Barrett, and Spence... right?
Then there are three other LB's... who do different things, depending on the down?
I am assuming that David is pretty much always on the field (unless resting). And then it seems like the other two guys are Buchannon and Minter, right? But, Buchannon only plays on certain downs, right? And Minter may be better suited as a back-up, right?
I guess what I am asking is... aren't we still short a starting inside LB? Can someone try to explain to me the front 7 line-ups we are most likely to put out there in:
1). Our base 3/4 scheme
2). Obvious running downs
3). Obvious passing downs
It would be helpful to see the depth charts for each of those alignments. Am I right that we are still missing a 2nd inside LB who is a real starter?
