We moved down the field AND GOT TD's on both the hurry-up drives. At the end of the 3rd quarter, it's very unlikely the 49ers were "laying back". Doubt they were on the 1st drive either.     When Glennon has enough time to get his pass off before the rush arrives, he is like a surgeon with a football. Getting the ball out QUICKLY is the most obvious way to beat the pass rush. Another less effective way is to keep extra blockers in who can actually block. Of course this means fewer receivers, and makes it easier for the D to cover them. Guess which method Sullivan most often chooses....  ::) ::) We need to take much greater advantage of WHAT GLENNON DOES BEST; more and more I am disgusted with Sullivan!!

fixed it for ya NDY  ;D

Vjax disagrees about them sitting back, since he had a niner on his hip when he caught the pass from Glennon in the end zone.

Uhhhh, I don't think that anyone plays a soft zone in the red zone, ever...do they?  Glennon made a great throw.  One throw doesn't make a career.

Matt Flynn says hi :)but in all seriousness, I'm so-so on Glennon, I want to see him with an OC that can makes calls. While nobody is saying Glennon is veteran Brady/Manning/Brees, for some reason i think there is a bigger issue with coaching and having 3rd and 4th string receivers (minus VJax)

It looked like Glennon was making a decision pre-snap and not necessarily going through his reads.  Remember when Tebow would excel at the end of games when they went to hurry up?  That's what this reminds me of...it isn't sustainable over a season or hell even a whole game.  People are reaching with all this nonsense.

Glennon couldn't even complete a pass at the end of this game x_X

He completed the pass.... just not to the right guy

Got dammit moose >_< You're right.

First it was Glennon couldn't do anything in the 2nd half now it's Glennon can't make his last pass a completion.

End of the game covers his last 2 drives. Reading comprehension goes a long way.

Nobody can complete a pass that counts at the end of the game. Why? Because the game is over.

If you notice the 2 minute offense works for a number of teams when they have run it. I remember that it even worked for Freeman when he ran it.The fast pace and the defense not being able to sub like they want are factors. Teams just use it sparingly, unlike Denver, as Peytonhas always used it even in Indy. It's also why his receivers stay open. Keeping the D off balance is the key.Have to be in shape to constantly run it though.

There is more than one wayntomchange the tempo.  When Glennon is moving faster and running a quicker paced game and getting the ball out faster he is definitely in his element.  But Rutgers wants something different so he will force a square peg into a round hole and expect reality to bend to his will.
