There are many on these boards that think the loss to the Rams was on the Brady or the defense.
The bottom line is the score was 27-24, we had the ball, and hadn't hit the 2 minute warning yet. So I'm sitting there thinking, "OK methodically march down the field and either win this thing or go into overtime." I say methodically because the last thing I wanted to see was Goff with the ball back in his hands ( with time on the clock) since we hadn't really stopped them all night. I felt pretty confident that Brady and the coaches on the Bucs felt the same way.
So what do we do? 1st play hit Godwin for a nice gain and the very next play? Interception down the seam with a pass intended for Brate of all people! Now I like Brate as a possession TE but streaking down the middle? He was also covered and the throw had to be on the money.
I thought that if we were going down, it would be trying to fit it in to Evans or Godwin, our MONEY receivers. What were the coaches thinking there? We hadn't hit Brate on one of those throws all season. They tried to go to Brate on the last play of the Chicago game also.
There is no kind of game management or accountability with this team and it's frustrating! We could talk about tons of situations in the Rams game but it all came down to the end, in which we could have easily won it.
