8. Buffalo Bills: James Cook and Ray Davis
7. Minnesota Vikings: Aaron Jones Sr. and Jordan Mason
6. San Francisco 49ers: Christian McCaffrey and Isaac Guerendo
5. Atlanta Falcons: Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier
4. Philadelphia Eagles: Saquon Barkley and A.J. Dillon
3. Carolina Panthers: Chuba Hubbard and Rico Dowdle
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Bucky Irving and Rachaad White
We saw how well Bucky Irving and Rachaad White work together last season. They combined for 2,520 scrimmage yards and 17 touchdowns.
As a ball-carrier, White took a backseat to Irving, who led 2024 rookies in rushing yards. Yet he finished with 1,006 scrimmage yards and led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers backfield in touchdowns (nine).
They are a unique duo because they're a proven interchangeable pair on all three downs. They can run between the tackles on early downs, and their catch and receiving yard totals from last year are similar.
The Buccaneers had to refill the offensive coordinator position for a third consecutive offseason after Liam Coen accepted the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coaching job, but they promoted from within, bumping Josh Grizzard up from the pass game coordinator role.
Tampa Bay has maintained some continuity within the offensive coaching ranks, which will bode well for Irving and White's chemistry.
1. Detroit Lions: Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery
i know Bucky had a monster year but certainly did not expect to see them at 2 wow.
A "duo" to me means they are a one two punch like Alstott and Dunn. Gibbs and Montgomery would fit that bill. Robinson and Allgier also. Last year White was a distant second, so going by that I wouldn't even put them as a "duo". But this year may be different. The Bucs would be smart not to overuse Irving. I just don't know things will shake out with Tucker in the mix as well.
Interesting to not see Henry & hill as well.
honorable mentions included Seattle Green Bay and jax.

Distant second when he has 1k yards and more TDs? Huh
Second, yes. Bucky played amazing.
The White slander is wild. The Tucker hype is even more wild.

Do you think the Saints game was random?

In fact I do... Because the Saints were one of the worst run defenses in the league and Tucker got all the carries down the stretch when they were defeated to put the cherry on top of an already good game. It made it an elite game.
And you're still not getting it. I like Tucker. Most of us like him. Most of us would like to see him worked into the offense a little more.
But we ALSO understand sample sizes within statistics

You have to have more data to make any larger claim.
Don't short White his incredible productivity & opportunity to be multiple, as a game breaking passing option, and as a blocking back.
Bucky is an absolute stud.
All of this improves because we have a great o-line with an incredible 2nd year center that will be even better this season, a stud right tackle, not to mention a generational left tackle.

Both your takes are based on ignorance.
Before the last drive of the Saints game Tucker had 8 carries for 72 yards (9ypc) and 3 receptions for 56 yards and a TD. 11 touches for 128 yards and an explosive TD is more than a "good game". Funny how when Tucker goes crazy is small opportunties its "sample size". But we have 3 years of White being an absolute dog shit runner and it's "incredible productivity".
If he's a such a "game breaking passing option" why were the Bucs 1-7 with 25 ppg when he had 3+ receptions and 9-0 with 34 ppg when he had 2 or less receptions? Doesn't sound like "game breaking" to me.
And calling Barton "incredible" shows you have literally no fucking idea what you're looking at when watching the Bucs.
Do you think the Saints game was random?
Of course not.
He has numerous 100+ yard, multi-TD games. It’s common place with him.
I mean, why else would someone need to lie about him leading the league in rush/EPA?
Regardless of the debate, I feel like the Bucs have an excellent running back room with 3 good options. Yes, the Bucs need to get Tucker more involved; he needs to learn how to pass block though. Yes, Bucky should not carry most of the load. Yes, White adds value, but he needs to make much quicker decisions when running the ball; he is not an instinctive runner IMHO.

spot on
snd Licht suggests there is a good 4th rb in the room now!
JC is gonna need a trophy mounted on his wall for that saints game.

It may be the first time a player has ever been elected to the JC HOF based on one game. It took Maurice Stovall, Davin Joseph, Jeremy Trueblood, Kevin Pamphile, Adam Humphries, Speedy Scotty Miller, etc. multiple games to achieve that status. Even the great Josh Freeman needed more than one game. Sean Tucker and his family should be really, really proud of that. It's quite the accomplishment.
