Egbuka: A-, I'd give it an A but the value wasn't amazing. In a perfect world we get him a few days picks later. Future star. Love the pick.
Morrison: B, I'm warming up to this pick but I prefer Mike Greene massively over him. Drafted for need and he should compete for playing time right away.
Parrish: B+, really good pick and great value. I like him more than Morrison.
Walker: B-, small school prospect so hard to judge his tape. Prefer Sawyer over him.
Roberts: B-, while I do somewhat like the pick I would have much preferred Chris Paul for need and better prospect so I think this might be my least favorite pick based on Paul still being there. That said, he looks good on tape and I like the versatility.
Johnson: A, great value for a guy that can immediately add value on special teams and will add more depth at WR.
Overall I'd say this was a well done draft by Licht. No real head scratchers for me a solid value. Stacked the defense and thinking ahead for offensive weapons.
I also like Shilo Sanders as an ass as UDFA.
I think some of y'all are way overreacting about WRs.
Evans and Godwin are 30+. Godwin might be taking awhile to heal.
McMillan is a good weapon and compliment but not a wr1. The rest of the guys (Sheppard, Palmer, etc) are JAGs.
The additions of Egbuka and Johnson give us critical depth, and the ability to rotate our crew to keep them healthy. I think y'all are forgetting that... It's smart.
My biggest knock on the draft was ignoring LB.
I give it a sold B/B+
Egbuka - A
Egbuka ensures the Bucs have a three headed monster in the WR room under contract for 2026 for Mayfield to work with. In the mean time when Egbuka is the third or fourth WR off the bench that is simply a mismatch nightmare. The only foe in the division that could probably slow down the Bucs passing attack maybe Atlanta. Atlanta's strength as a team is their secondary and RB room.
Morrison - A
Morrison can play man up or play from zone and attacking the football as he looks for turnovers. Potentially an eraser if he is fully healed.
Parrish - A
Parrish could probably get away with playing some boundary CB due to the Bucs use of heavy zone. But ideally he is your nickel and he is not afraid to put up his mitts to deflect passes. The addition of Parrish and Morrison allows the Bucs to move T. Smith and Hayes back to safety.
Walker - A
Walker has a low center of gravity but stocky build means he is going to be a terror rotating with Nelson and Braswell.
Roberts - A
Bucs needed to add a player like Roberts that can rush the passer not only from the inside to rotate with Kancey and Vea in a three point stance. But also as a stand up rusher to confuse teams. Bowles' new joker is here and along with Walker and Reddick the pass rush is going to look a lot different under Foote's tutelage.
Johnson - B
Love Tez and I love the value but the Bucs have three return specialist already with Palmer, Calloway and K. Johnson. No question that Tez is a gifted WR with stop and go ability. Tough battle for him to beat out the veteran Shepard, the lanky Jarrett, glue hands Knue, and the dependable Miller. WR unit for the Bucs easily the crown jewel of this team.
Overall grade is an A for me.
Licht, Bowles, and the Bucs FO and staff delivered because they were relatively quiet in free agency. But they really went out and identified what this team needed to do better or become unstoppable. Bucs offense adding Egbuka I can not emphasize enough is going to be a lot tougher than last year's offense. Because if Egbuka can do what JSN did for the Seahawks with Geno, Metcalf and Lockett then the sky is the limit for this offense.
Bucs decided to upgrade pass rush in three ways this off season: Foote back with the position group, signing Reddick and then drafting an inside and outside pass rush upgrades with Walker and Roberts.
My biggest knock on the draft was ignoring LB.
Yeah, that's a pretty big hole they did not address.

especially since we all watched third and long converted all season long, because of that soft spot at MLB right in the middle of our zone coverage. I’m fearful we’re going to see a lot more of it this year. It cost us the playoff game against the Commanders, ending our season
I'm guessing the Bucs think Sirvocea is the answer at LB. Havewe gotten a list of UDFA yet? Is there any undrafted LB that might be a steal or at least provide depth?

I'm wondering if there are any LBs in FA we can target or LBs on teams that are rebuilding that would take a draft pick.
I'm trying to find a current list but struggling because all the article are old.
Egbuka - B+ - I like the player, not the position. I would have preferred CB Jahdae Barron, to fill an immediate need, which would have made this an A+ pick.
Morrison - B- - I preferred Mike Green to fill an immediate need. Morrison will be good, but he’s a step down from Barron. And Green would have also been an immediate factor.
Parrish - B+ - I like him, but I would have preferred Xavier Watts. Parrish is fast and has the potential to be a good CB2/Nickel. Don’t pencil him into the starting nickel spot though.
Walker - B - Not a bad pick in the 4th round. There’s no telling how he’ll look coming in from a small school. He will only see playing this year, because of injury or absolute poor play from guys in front of him.
Roberts - B- - I would have preferred LB Paul. LVD is getting older by the day and Dennis hasn’t shown he can stay healthy. Robert’s could be a long time depth piece.
Johnson - B - good value at the pick. Just don’t see where he’ll fit into this deep position room.
I’m not big on grading drafts so early, but overall I give it a B-. We could have walked away with 3 defensive players that would have given us quality play, if not big time play makers. This looked more to me like a draft for the future and not today. There’s no open Super Bowl window until we can get a consistent pass rush with 4 rushers. Until then we’ll hope to out score teams and win a bad division.
