I remember going to a Bucs game and I believe Brad Culpepper wrapped up Favre on the play and ripped Favre's shoe off, after the play Culpepper threw it into the stands so Favre had to go get a new shoe. However from the stands on the other side of the field what you saw was Favre get tackled and then begin to appear to limp. Well this is at the old stadium and our little Bucs section was surrounded by about 15,000 Packers fans - so I stood-up and was yelling, "come on Favre, just make it to the sidelines, they got pills for you, just take some drugs and you'll be fine" - the Packers fans were pissed.Anywho I tell that story to remind you of what a real controversy is that lives on, as opposed to Publix handing out some free crab legs.People focusing on pictures of crab legs should remember Favre's drug abuse and dickpics - and then remember he was a good player and in the NFL that is what counts.Also I actually found a write-up of the incident, I'm shocked this exists as it was 1997 and lots of stuff happened that never got retold....

Pederson threw an incomplete pass and the Packers had to punt.Sapp asked Culpepper what happened that forced Favre out of the game. Culpepper "had this devious little smile" and said he had ripped off one of Favre shoes. When the play was over he walked over and flipped it into the stands. The officials didn’t see it and Favre had to leave the game to get a new shoe.
