Problem with that rebuild is that it is on Glazers/Dom. Schiano isn't responsible for the failure that was 2009-2011 and the "rebuild through the draft" farce. That isn't an excuse for schiano, that is just a fact. We were pretty much in the same place as far as rebuilding when he was hired as we were in 2009.

Hate to break it to you, but we do look like clowns out there. And that's the problem. It's not just about the record (though the trolls and ranters can't get past that). Yes, a lot of it was Freeman's fault, especially in the record. But how we play is not Freeman or anything else. We are sloppy and inconsistent and coaching seems to keep having us do all the wrong things at the wrong times.

Congratulations on your half full glass. After the 0-8 start I lost the enjoyment of watching. I hate to lose. I wish I could be as happy as you are watching this team lose...............wait. No I don't. I hate losing. You mentioned that it took 7 years to build the Superbowl team. Thinking back to when Dungy got here, I knew that we had a really good coach in Dungy after 8 games. The defense was very good schematically with one big weakness down the seam. The offense wasn't very good. But I knew after 8 games that we could go out there on any given Sunday and compete with any of the other 31 teams in the NFL and win the game. Maybe that is setting the standard too high, but I want to KNOW the coach is going to be good. I want to KNOW that we can beat any team on Sunday. That's all I really want. Schiano's 8 games are long gone and I am not seeing it schematically. I don't think he is going to suddenly dream up a working plan at this stage. You either have great schemes or you don't. There really isn't a gray area here. Or as Raheem Morris would say. There is no gray matter here. I would agree.

This is what bothers me. Greg is suppose to be this old school guy that keeps it simple and preaches executing well.....yet we keep doing all this college trickery. It was great for a game when it was totally unexpected. The TD passes to our LT or the RB pass or the multiple surprise onside kicks....but like I said then, it is not sustainable. You can't count on trick plays to get your victories, especially when it has become your MO to use trick plays when you are desperate. This Sunday we were down by 9 points with about four and half minutes to go. How about just running a hurry up two minute offense and trying to score a TD with superior execution? I mean, the only time we looked good on offense all day was the two times we ran the hurry up....but when the game is on the line we rather try some trickery nonsense than give our offense the chance to earn a comeback win? It's just bad coaching, but it fits because this staff does this same crap every week. Bad clock management, bad play calling, sloppy fundamentals, a ridiculous amount of penalties, wasted time outs, the inability to make half time adjustments to the game plan. It is the norm with these clowns. I have seen enough. I've heard enough excuses. Tampa deserves better.

How many times did they make the playoffs from 1996-2002? 5? 6?This piece of junk can't even get us to the playoffs. But why would he? he was a .500 coach in college and now he's a .350 coach in the pros.Is anyone surprised? Anyone defending this garbage should have their fan card revoked. It was a crap hire. All logic points to this conclusion.
What is puzzling to me is Coach Schiano is supposed to be a coach that preaches discipline and yet this team is the most penalized team in the NFL with over 1,000 yards in penalties this year. Either the players aren't listening or his teaching technique is not good.
