Clear to me that this team needs to add a legit WR. Even with a good run game, the guys out there still can’t get open. We’re cooked this season is a player isn’t added.
Can that WR you want to sign play LB or CB?
We traded away Carlton Davis and didn’t bring back Devin White so the GM must be happy with what we’ve got there
I actually thought the WR’s played pretty well, all things considered. They were open fairly often, which is also a credit to Coen.
Could you imagine Leftwich trying to scheme open this group of WR’s? Hell, he had trouble getting Evans and Godwin open.

Who’s been better this year, Zyon or Carlton?
And, how many teams has Devin been on this year?
Again, what WR would you sign that would keep this defense from getting bent over week after week?
The young WRs played okay for young WR's. But man can you see the difference between a young wide receiver and Godwin or Evans.
I am a pretty harsh Otton critic. Kudos to him

I’m not interested in your argument. I made this thread about the receiver play, not about the defense.
Guys were schemed open for the most part. Just some forced throws that resulted into INT's that hurt us

agreed
The kind of "disconnected" things you see with young receivers come in with existing QB.
Greg Olsen mentioned it on the missed connection between Mayfield and Jalen McMillan. McMillan keeps running, Mayfield threw to the sit down spot. If Mayfield and McMillan are on the same page its probably a TD.
@bucsbits Agreed, it’s the problem that’s going to happen when you’re presenting new receivers, mid-season. They haven’t worked out QB preferences /situational reactions. They did well, they’re just not up to the same level as the two best receivers in team history were with their QB. Only way to get there is with practice/game-time experience. It will come, but it’s going to take time.
the team is no longer competing for a playoff spot. they will continue to roll with what they got.

so you're saying it is time to bring on Trask?
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t believe that. Next few games are tough but the back end of our schedule is quite easy, and the NFC is very down this year.

Spot on. Coen did a great job scheming these guys open and presenting opportunities. We don’t need to trade for anyone before the deadline.
Per Ledyard (via Twitter)-
“Can't say enough about how Bucs receiving threats (WR/TE/RB) stepped up in Week 8 without Godwin or Evans.
PFF has them 9-12 in contested catch situations, forced 6 MTs, averaged over 5 YAC/rec, zero drops. Deserved a better result.”
The offense continues to play well. There's almost nothing wrong with the offense that isn't nitpicking.
My nitpicking:
Flea flicker was a bad design
We weren't ready for the Bates punch out AGAIN
McMillan doesn't get this head around enough.
Baker is throwing picks from a clean pocket (but again I think both picks were really well designed coverages).
The WRs played ok for being our wr3/4/5/6.
Jarrett should step in more... Get Evans back in 4 weeks. Try to run the table vs the weak part of our schedule.
The defense and Bowles are the problem
