Yes, Baker was expecting different coverage sets and missed, resulting in two picks. He’s going to have to be cognizant of that going forward. The secondary is NOT digging, they’re showing it, then bailing out to where they KNOW Baker wants to go… that’s going to have to be a point of emphasis for him.
I too thought the receivers (especially Rak & JMac) handled their responsibilities, and Otton is becoming a real threat. They will be fine, especially once Mike gets back in the lineup.
I believe our playoff chances were taken out of our hands, but if we keep getting better, and we can find a way to get a win we’re not supposed to get, we’re not out of the Wildcard race. Hopefully the NFC North will start to beat each others brains in (and we win out our remaining divisional games), and we might have an inside shot on a Wildcard spot.
…oh, and providing the defense re-learns how to consistently shut teams down like they did the Lions earlier, and the Falcons in the 2nd half.
All attainable. Winning the division is not likely, but getting into the playoffs and having developed a real running attack bodes well. All is NOT lost.
Great points. As I said, all is NOT lost. I do think Bowles is left with a bucket of spit at Edge/ILB/Corner - and that’s on him. I think he recognizes that, because he didn’t pressure nearly enough yesterday, which is weird, but he can’t take anyone out of secondary rotation to contribute to pressures because, well, they’re kinda busy doing too much as it is. We were a couple of bad flags/no flags away from sending the stinkin’ Falcons home with a loss.The offense continues to play well. There's almost nothing wrong with the offense that isn't nitpicking.

The WRs played ok for being our wr3/4/5/6.

Dionte Johnson acquired by the Ravens for a 5th. At this point Licht is calling his shot. I hope it works out but I don’t think it will.
