I'm fired up about this. Reddick gets a one year "prove it" deal, albeit a bit more pricey than your average "prove it" deal. Reddick will be out to prove himself. The Bucs can still draft an edge rusher, but they don't have to rely on them as much in their rookie season. This move shows the Bucs are "all in" in 2025.
This is a solid move - on a one year deal. Prior to his weird time as a NYJ he had double digit sacks for his entire time in Philly. If we get 10 sacks from the edge, the d-line is instantly upgraded.
He looks to have the ability, the only question is desire & mentality.
Looks good, we’ll have to see what we get.
Now, about that secondary…
Bucs needed a pass rusher that brings a different attack badly. Reddick will pair well with Diaby using power on the other side. Vea and Kancey in the middle will make things spicy for sure.
The main thing is not to be stuck having to depend on the draft to fill your needs. This was a huge need. So Licht still has a couple holes to fill. Then he can look forward to a draft where he can draft players he wants to have instead of ones he has to have.
His pass coverage grade was much improved last year.
Bowles should be licking his chops right now.

Lmfao. Maybe if we drop all 11 players into coverage we can hold them to 8 yards

I still think it is going to be edge/DL in round 1. Licht hasn't taken a CB/WR/TE in round 1 for ages and I am thinking he isn't going to revert to that now. We will see what other new free agents are brought into the fold. But all signs point to a defensive trench player for round 1 to take advantage of the 5th year option. ILB, S, CB, WR and OG are possibilities too but based on what Licht prefers to do I feel edge/DL is where he goes in round 1.
Still need to be aggressive with the edge rushers. Alujari and Chaisson are still out there.
Adding either one would be good. Chaisson can play ILB in a pinch too if needed due to injuries, but he is at his best going downhill instead of dropping backwards into zone.
Looks like ILB is in play first round. I'd trade back and get more picks then go for it.

In a scenario with a trade back then ILB makes more sense IMO.
