The prevailing thinking is that nobody wants to pay DJax $10 million. But if Humphries is going to earn $7 or $8 million because its such a thin market, why wouldn't DJax have some trade value at $10 million? That is one year and done, no messy long term contract and he can be cut if things fall apart. Wouldn't a contending team be willing to put up say a 5th round pick for a one year rental? Isn't this a typical Patriots move?
