Will the Bucs commit the same mistake? Obviously the Panthers can beat anybody who doesn't want to circle them on the schedule. Supposedly the tail end of the Bucs schedule is easier. They just have to get past the next three games. That's the theory. If the Bucs subscribe to that they could be in for a rude awakening. Sure they're professionals, but we all know the Bucs don't come out guns blazing every game. Perhaps no team does.the packers play the Eagles next. . . making the Panthers game a bit of an overlook trap
If they split with the Panthers I'm Ok with that. Just don't let them sweep both games.

One of the most predictable traits in the NFL especially with teams in the hunt. The Buc arguably overcame two trap games in beating the jets (before eagles) and the Saints (before bye).
I think they split with the Panthers. Mostly becaue the game are only two weeks apart. But, tlo the motivation part, the loss in that three game closing stretch could also be the Dolphins, even though it should not be
Bucky and Chris still not practicing. Not great
Bright side- Goedeke is practicing
Mayfield still on the report but practiced
Not practicing today were Chris Godwin, Bucky Irving, Haason Reddick and Markees Watts.
Goedke limited and Luke Haggard full participant
Goedeke & Haggard would be an embarrassment of riches compared to where we’ve been with this line.
Saw that Mayfield - when asked if the lack of scrambling was due to schemes, or cumulative injuries, he admitted that it was a little of both. Detroit’s defense did a good job with pressure/cutting off escape lanes - and in the Saints game, a little more because of injuries (knee & oblique).
He is going to need all the protection he can get from the o-line, because it doesn’t look like he’s going to be at peak mobility this week.
Looks like the receiver corps is going to be limited - so probably quick short passes - a lot of TE involvement - maybe a deep shot to Egbuka (late)?
No one has been able to run more than 50 yards on the Pats - so that aligns with not having Bucky back anyway (and a lot of Rachaad White doing double duty blocking and hopefully a great screen game).
Should be an interesting game. Not expecting a win, but we could steal it, late.
Why aren’t you expecting a win? We are favored
Most of new England’s wins have not come against strong opponents. Buffalo being the exception
I expect us to win and am more negative about buffalo and Los Angeles prospects
As I have said, IF Luke is back, I’m more optimistic, but he hasn’t played in awhile. His conditioning will be low.Why aren’t you expecting a win? We are favored

We aren’t going to be real effective with the run (no team has been against them), so we’ll obviously pass more. Who do we have at WR after Emeka?
Otton & White could assist, if they’re not needed in pass-blocking duties. Mayfield is hopefully over his oblique issue, but how’s the knee? Can he scramble? The best running result this year was Josh Allen’s 53 yards… and the Bills still lost.
This game looks pretty tough - I believe the line is Bucs 2.5, at home.
I think we can win, mostly because we’re coming off a bye, so we’re rested up, but our short quick passing game is going to have to look more like El Serpiente’s to be a factor. I think Baker is going to have to be mobile. We’re also going to need to pressure/sack Maye (and some defensive scoring would help a lot too).
I don’t expect all those things to come about, still too early and at this point we’re not even sure Goedeke will be back. So, not enough ponies back yet. I’ll be happy if we win, but I am not downplaying what the Patriots have done so far.
I like that Boutte won’t be playing - maybe that gives them one less weapon.
Just not seeing anyone coming back to the offense that tells me we have an edge. Hopefully Goedeke and Haggard change my mind. If they’re 80% healthy, it could change my outlook. Just not expecting it at this point.
I’d love to be wrong.
I do think it will be a low-scoring slugfest.
I have watched enough Patriots games to know that D. Maye will be looking for the deep ball but Bowles will force him to take stuff underneath. Also because of this emphasis on the deep ball the Bucs can tally up sacks.
If the Bucs D can force turnovers then it gives the offense a shorter field to work with.
The offense will be better prepared coming off a bye to really use the new players in the fold with dedicated game plans for them respectively. People keep underestimating White and Tucker but they probably will be big factors against the Pats.
obviously bucky and chris injuries are much heavier as anticipated, they never told us details.
patriots game might be really really interesting game, we should win it .. somehow

The Broncos looked like dog crap last night at home against the lowly Raiders . . . they play the Chiefs the next week
you could argue that the Pats are close to a trap game ("most winnable of 3'" at home etc)

I think Bowles has broken every 'trend" posted by Badabing, but i think one other is that Bowles is 0-2 after the bye? Hopefully another break from the past!!!
anyone knows what exactly is going on with chris and bucky?
why making the secret out of it?
Bowles still vague
“It’s the fibula,” Bowles said. “He’s working his way back. He’s making good strides and we’ll continue to work with him and see how he goes. …
“He’s running, yes. He’s definitely running. … I wish I could tell you [if it is a pain tolerance issue]. I really do.”
Bucky sighted at practice yesterday getting handoffs from Baker.
LEDYARD -Charlie Heck leads ALL OFFENSIVE LINEMEN in pressures surrendered per PFF, despite being 93rd amongst OL in pass block snaps this season Goedeke's return, if he can be 100%, is massive
Pretty good start
“[Goedeke] did better than I thought he was gonna do out there,” Bowles said. “You know, he was a little ginger at first but he went out there and he played a very good ball game. He played a very solid ball game and he came out okay, too, which was more important than anything else. But to have your right starting right tackle out there after missing him the whole year, very comforting to see.”
Wirfs and Barton with big games too.
