Irving and Godwin practicing today
Irving and Godwin practicing today
that's awesome news. Hopefully they can play and be somewhat like themselves
still Buffalo will be an uphill climb but i do like that the game is 1PM and not a prime time disaster waiting to happen
as 5.5 point underdogs, these 2 playing, will give us a shot...but still...i dont see it unless Buffalo falls out of being class of AFC and more of a playoff pretender. They've had some questionable losses so far this year. Bucs, on the otherhand, particularly since Detroit Monday night disaster have not looked like the same 5-1 team previously.

My guess would be not this week, but who knows?

Less than 10% chance either plays
There’s a debate in the media as to whether he will play this week, however Bowles said said in his presser yesterday that he wants to see Bucky take some hits - without it sending him back to the inactive report - then saying that there would NOT be full-pad practices this week.
Maybe the media is ignoring it, maybe Bowles was intentionally giving off some doublespeak/coachspeak - who knows. I think it’s 50/50. It could just be that he was brought up to the active roster and they’re working him back in.
we’ll see, I think the odds of winning increase a lot if Bucky plays. Struggle if he doesn’t.
I don’t believe anything Bowes says. Anyway, awesome to see Bucky and Godwin back at practice.
I don’t believe anything Bowes says.
Thats the thing, I dont think you can.
His answer on Godwin is obviously evasive. Maybe someone like SR or Auman will report on on whatever changed with the way the Bucs discuss injuries. Wasnt Bucky first a foot and then only later a shoulder and foot
I think the process you describe is accurate, but what I’ve heard pretty consistently is that Bucky didn’t initially report his shoulder… which delayed Bucs ability to report, and then diagnose it.I don’t believe anything Bowes says.

I’m not nitpicking, I’m saying that I don't think the Bucs were evading.
I do think they are less than forthcoming about injuries, on average. I don’t necessarily think that is all on Bowles. I think it’s an organizational decision for which Bowles is ok.

Definitely not nitpicking that makes a difference on Irving so good to know. Thanks for chiming in
Yes I also agree on Bowles. I dont think it is a HC thing as much as an organizational thing. It does seem a recent change though. Maybe it is not and I am just seeing it that way because of the volume of injuries ot key players. I just dont recall ever thinking they were being less than candid. Certainly n ot volunteering things, but maybe just more willing to discuss.
could definitely be wrong lol
Not unique to the Bucs
Irving and Godwin are out for the Bills game on Sunday. Weather game, 40 degrees, windy, rain and snow showers. Gives the Bills an edge.
looks like chris is coming back this week
I think there is a concerted effort by the Bucs to protect these injured players until the stretch drive. After all, why risk these players when Sunday night's game is very likely a loss to one of the top NFC teams? Why not wait until the schedule eases up vs weaker teams? The long view should be to lock up the NFCS and play for the 4th or 3rd seed, and see what happens with a home game in the Wild Card round with all your horses.

Grizz already mentioned a "pitch count" with Godwin and Irving, so they are sort of thinking your way
Per head coach Todd Bowles, it seems receiver Chris Godwin, who has only played in two games this season with little production, is likely to play
