According to Tampa Bay general manager Jason Licht, the team is not discussing a trade for Revis. He said that right now every player is being evaluated, but that Revis is a crucial asset to the roster. The trade talk started once Lovie Smith was hired as the new head coach for Tampa Bay. His defensive system does not fit the strengths of Revis and many wonder if Tampa Bay would move on from the veteran because of it. Licht calls the idea comical.-Seriously guys, how do you read things like this and still stand and argue?

Assets do get traded, tho'...  Really good players get dumped when teams change from 4-3 to 3-4 for example.Seems like a lot of eggs are going in the basket that keeps Revis in Tampa.

They do, and if someone offers us something amazing and our leadership decide to make a move, then I will be behind it.  But, all of this speculation started when Lovie was hired, and then again with Jason La Canfora (who just seems to throw poo against walls for a living).  Typically I agree that were there is smoke there is fire, unless it comes from media hacks and internet speculation.

The media needs a big story this year and was looking to Tampa for it. I think they are beating a dead horse, Revis is a Buc. Go check out Cleveland though, that's a circus if I ever saw one.

That part of the article shows how fucking stupid the media has become on this subject. Another quote from Lovie yesterday. @RCummingsTBO: Said Lovie: "We’re primarily going to be a man team. Whether we win or lose is going to be based on how we play man coverage.''

If TPIR anyone can be had. I think Revis is a beast. To acquire him, you give up the loot. If not, we still have the beast and cap room. Want to make a ton of cap space happen?Dump Joseph. Trade Penn. Try to find a trade partner for The Hawk. Money ahoy. Revis is a beast. Top two. I wonder how this messes with Richard Shernans money...Sixteen million dollar shut down man 2 man corner versus a cover corner with arguably the best pass rush. Hmmm...

I chuckled when I read that the removal of Revis is good for the "rebuilding" Bucs. Nah. I laughed out loud. Hey Cleveland, you guys pick in front of us and are the biggest train wreck in the NFL by a league. Piss off! Also, I love the idea that Cleveland could make Revis restructure to make life easier for them. But the Bucs with zero depth at corner, can't. Browns fans are stupid as well as sad.

This is legit if the Bucs can avoid giving up their third and obtaining picks from a trade of Revis.

This is literally the worst article I have ever seen. The title says that Revis will be traded soon, but the article says the Bucs didn't initiate talks and have no interest in moving Revis. ""Although the Bucs did not initiate the talks and are not shopping Revis, several teams at the NFL combine in Indianapolis began to explore whether Tampa Bay would consider a trade that would save $16-million on the salary cap to improve in other areas while potentially netting more draft picks," the insider added" So basically their title is a joke and they should stick to business articles.

Has anyone considered that the Bucs may be tempted to trade Revis if they feel they can sign a FA CB  and then draft Justin Gilbert?

Yeah, because it's not like this has anything to do with business...  ::)

http://factoryofsadness.co/2014/02/26/cleveland-browns-trade-darrelle-revis/ This is the part that I find ignorant and annoying at the same time"....For the Bucs having Revis tie up so much of their cap while they look to rebuild seems not prudent while gaining an extra 3rd or 4th in a ever deep draft would be greatly helpful. ..."Let me get this straight, we give up a first and third for an injured Revis, and now that he's healthy and we have a ton of cap room, we deal him for a 3rd or a 4th? Really?

What if the deal includes swapping 1st round picks to move up?
