This is literally the worst article I have ever seen. The title says that Revis will be traded soon, but the article says the Bucs didn't initiate talks and have no interest in moving Revis. ""Although the Bucs did not initiate the talks and are not shopping Revis, several teams at the NFL combine in Indianapolis began to explore whether Tampa Bay would consider a trade that would save $16-million on the salary cap to improve in other areas while potentially netting more draft picks," the insider added" So basically their title is a joke and they should stick to business articles.
Yeah, because it's not like this has anything to do with business... ::)
What are you talking about? My problem with it is the fact the title says they will trade him and then the article gives no facts to back it up at all.

This is the part that I find ignorant and annoying at the same time"....For the Bucs having Revis tie up so much of their cap while they look to rebuild seems not prudent while gaining an extra 3rd or 4th in a ever deep draft would be greatly helpful. ..."Let me get this straight, we give up a first and third for an injured Revis, and now that he's healthy and we have a ton of cap room, we deal him for a 3rd or a 4th? Really?
What if the deal includes swapping 1st round picks to move up?
I'd do it if the price they're willing to pay is their 1st round pick. Give us the 4th overall pick and then we're talking. I believe in the philosophy of defenses being built inside-out....a really strong pass rush can overcome coverage weaknesses, but even the best corners cannot cover forever if there's no pass rush.

I don't know anything about this specific site, but most of the time, the author of an article doesn't also title it, the editor does, so the disconnect wouldn't be the writer's fault.
I'd be interested to see the ratio of people that support trading Revis for a higher 1st round pick and the same ones that don't believe in Glennon.
I've said it multiple times- any trade involving Revis boils down to what we get in return. A 3rd or 4th? Not a chance. The fourth overall pick plus a 3rd or 4th? We might be getting somewhere.
I wonder if Houston thinks they can get Bortles at 7?
Just considering the draft value trade chart over at http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php ...The Bucs gave up their 13th pick = 1150and they gave up at least they 100th pick = 100They gave that up for a player who hadn't made his way through rehab. They hold this year's 7th pick = 1500Add the 1250 to the 1500, That's pretty close to the overall top pick.
Cj, I think you may be right.A revis for a qb. Hmmm? (That is a tough one)
What was Lovie saying here?
"I know enough about that draft to know, yeah, there's someone that would be (a quarterback) worthy of the seventh pick because everything is on the board right now," Smith said Thursday at the NFL combine. "Whenever you have a chance to get a franchise quarterback, you have to consider that."
It probably means that if Bridgewater or Bortles falls to the 7th pick, they would be worthy, because they are the highest on the Bucs draft boardOops... I meanYo dawg, they finsta take a quataback at 7 yo

Ah Ha......Mah Sources has been exposed !

That is an interesting theory. I could see it having legs, if it was all about draft picks. But with Revis involved, it gets sketchy.

I wouldn't trade Revis unless it was a Herschel Walker type trade. And I DO NOT support Glennon as a starter, yet.

If and that's a big IF Revis gets traded watch the 49ers knocking on the superbowl door for three years. They have a ton of draft picks this year two 2nd and two 3rd something like three 7th round picks. Did anyone hear Herm Edwards this a.m. Talking about Bucs should trade Revis to 49ers?
