Cap space for what exactly? You trade one of the best cover corners in the game (and potential HOF), for what?
A shiny new toy... Thats big for some here.
I love those comments considering most that make it are the ones who were begging for a shiny new Revis toy last year.#hypocrisy
An improved Revis IS the shiny new toy. Don't deal him. Good draft and go 8-8. In 2015 you make the playoffs.
hes probably not going to get traded. hes a great player and his contract isnt a problem. but you are a fool if you dont listen to offers or at least consider that high draft picks and capspace isnt another route for team improvement.
Everyone has a price .I'm not saying I'd never trade Revis but I wouldn't even start listening unless the starting price was more than we paid to get him. Something like 2 - 1sts. We are talking about a 1st ballot HOF'er here.No one is going to offer that . They just think there's a chance to rip us off because we run a Tampa 2 and might not want him .Trade won't happen. Let this topic die already.

For once I agree with Dolorous

Agree completely. Although I think this was stated somewhere on a page in the 20s. How this thread got this long is ridiculous.

one minor edit . . its "rediculous" (Credit to Chace) . . the red board way . . . this thread has gone on so long, in part, because there are people who want to trade Revis for no reason other than his salary . . . .

Poll on patriots site:Would you like to see the Patriots trade for cornerback Darrelle Revis? 36% Absolutely. Yes, it would likely cost a first-rounder and yes, it would hamper the Patriots' ability to fill other needs, but the bottom line it gives them the best chance to win. 30% No ... the Patriots have a model, a way of doing things and a move like this just doesn't make sense. The Pats should focus on re-signing Aqib Talib. 34% I don't want to ponder the possibility because it's probably not something the Pats are even considering.Discuss (Total votes: 12,735)
