And with no pass rush the Lovie 2 will get shredded like so much taco cheese. Promise. And without great talent in the back end, they will get dominated. Have to have elite talent to make the lovie2 work. And he is discharging without a contingency. Ridiculous.

So if we cut/trade Revis and cut/trade Penn and cut Koenen....we have just over $50M in cap space.....and Lovie has said he wants to spend up to the limit. Should be interesting to see who we get with all that jack.We could possibly get Melton and Johnson on the D-line....plus Collins, Schwartz, and Mack on the O-line. Rebuild over 50% of both our lines in one swift move? That would use up $35M to $40M. Still have $10M to $15M left for some smaller signings and rookie class.D - Clayborn/Melton/McCoy/JohnsonO - Collins/Schwartz/Mack/Zuttah?Nicks/Dotson

75/25 rule! Let's do it!

No.  Its more fun to light your hair on fire and run around the room screaming "I CAN'T BELIEVE WE CUT REVIS!"

Funny thing is, we would be spending less on our O-line than we have been in 2012 and 2013. I'd continue this plan by cutting ties with Nicks and drafting Gabe Jackson in the 2nd round. That would save an additional $2M in cap space this year, but more importantly it would save us $10M in 2015, $10M in 2016.

I think we have a better chance with the Raiders.  They have a ton of room, and seem to be letting both Valdeer and Houston leave.  Trade first round draft positions and throw in a 4th rounder for Revis

As far as what CB we sign in FA.....TIllman seems like a sure fire choice as a 2 year stop gap. Probably go after a great nickel guy like Munnerlyn or Thurmond too. Then I think we really do draft Gilbert in the 1st round. Lovie could possibly trade Banks. I'm not saying he will or should, but if he isn't the type of corner Lovie wants then I can see it happening. Obviously Lovie isn't messing around and will make this his team one way or another.

Banks doesn't have to be traded as you can shift him to become a safety.

Been over this man. He is not explosive and he is built like a string bean. He is never gonna be a safety.

If explosion is so important for a safety he would still be a corner back. His game is about coming up and making hard nose tackles and playing around the box.  He has the frame to add 10-15 lbs.

The Bucs won't need to cut him.  Because someone will trade for him.Revis' contract give the Bucs and other teams a lot of options. And Revis' agent doesn't like that and has tried to sabatoge the trade.

@mikefreemanNFL  27mGM tells me Bucs' initial asking price was two No. 1s for Revis. Around the league, they were laughed at.At least they are aiming high, right???

And Revis is going to restructure to stay in Cleveland.....why? He's not going to agree to restructure with anyone. He'll just take getting cut and go sign where he wants.

Cornerbacks need long speed. Safeties don't. They both have to be explosive though. When a safety sees the play developing he has to be able to explode to right spot to make a play. And 6'2" 185lbs is not a safety in any league. Banks is an boundary guy that would get destroyed in the middle. He'll either be a #2 CB or a bust. There is nowhere else for him to play. 940X.jpg
