We have little leverage.  We are sitting here bent over with our pants pulled down and begging for Cleveland to rape us.  You guys still thinking we will get a good trade are delusional.

if the Bucs got a 3rd and a 4th from the Browns, saved their own third and added $16 million in space . . . how would everyone feel? how about if they later used one of those picks to trade up to get someone significant? How about if they used the $16 million to sign a couple free agents?

Underwhelmed but not nearly as upset as I would be if they cut him.

understood, but if you account for the contract - and that is really the issue - the Bucs would do well to get anything for the guy.

A 3 rd or a 4th will be the best we could hope for.  I don't even think they need to give up that.

How about adding Doug Martin to the deal.....the Bucs have other RBs that are serviceable...and see if that is enough to get the 3 & 4 and swap first round choices with them....or add in one of their seconds.

We have more leverage than the Jets did last year. We have him signed for the next 5 years. The Jets only had him signed for 1.

but doesn't that only matter if the team taking him is willing to accept that contract "as is"? I presume most are focused on renegotiating, right?

Are the Brownies about to acquire more talent to flush down the toilet?

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport mentions the Browns as a "team to watch" in a trade for Darrelle Revis.Initial reports were that the Bucs were asking for two first-round picks in exchange for Revis, but that's laughable. The Tampa Bay local media believes the Bucs would simply take a mid- to late-round pick for Revis. The Browns hold two third-rounders and two fourth-rounders in May's draft and are flush with cap space. They could easily take on Revis' $16 million. Pairing Revis with Joe Haden in Mike Pettine's press man-cover scheme would be nasty.

The Tampa Bay media can't have that right. I saw that too; I think it's more likely we end up with Alex Mack & draft pick(s), as Mack's agent sounds like he's already maneuvering to get Mack's name on an offer sheet the Browns would struggle to match...

I'll put the Browns in that category. They have $45M of cap room and Pettine values man to man corners.

The Browns boards are on fire about the trade.  They really want this to happen.

Be pretty awesome to get the Browns' 2nd and both of their 3rds. Let em keep thiers 1sts. I'd rather have 6 picks in the top 75 of this great draft class.
