So really what you meant was, "Just keep Revis."
Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 1mBears free-agent CB Charles Tillman visiting Tampa Bay, per source. Revis replacement?
Look at our three signings so far today(and it's still very early)...WITH Revis are we a better team on the defensive side of the ball?

Exactly..
We never had superstar CBs in our heyday running the Tampa 2. I'd still like Revis to stay but I'm not jumping off the skyway like a lot of folks here.I believe we'll get fair compensation for him and move on. I'll take Cleveland's 1st 2nd rounder and call it a day.Let's keep in mind that we actually have a real football coaching staff now. Not a bunch of Raheemies or Rutgers tools.

If we get even decent trade compensation, I am absolutely fine with Revis going. But I'm not good with just cutting him. That would be historically stupid.

Detroit should cut Megatron. You know how many backups they could sign with his salary?
So you mean to tell me that the Bucs are going to rush into cutting/trading Revis by tomorrow just so they can save 1.5 mill and a 32 spots in the middle of the draft. That's some bull
the colts should get rid of andrew luck, you know how many plug TE's and back up KR you could get for that kind of money
the bucs FO have to keep him if there is no legit trade that helps the team now and future. We arent pressed up against the cap and we dont have the CB depth to cut someone who makes everyone else on defences life easier

Metaphor here is imperfect but if they ran a wishbone would there be any reason to pay him that much? Player and value are tied to scheme. If we do not play a ton of man free or single high, we can't with our S's, then Revis is isn't that much of a help over a less elite CB.

Love Barber to death, but outside of Tampa, he's not a superstar to anyone. Sorry.

And I'd counter that with if you have a Megatron, you spread that fuggin offense out like crazy. All time cover corner on your team? Make it work. Any good coach would.
