So you mean to tell me that the Bucs are going to rush into cutting/trading Revis by tomorrow just so they can save 1.5 mill and a 32 spots in the middle of the draft. That's some bull

Nope...

We never had superstar CBs in our heyday running the Tampa 2.  I'd still like Revis to stay but I'm not jumping off the skyway like a lot of folks here.I believe we'll get fair compensation for him and move on.  I'll take Cleveland's 1st 2nd rounder and call it a day.Let's keep in mind that we actually have a real football coaching staff now.  Not a bunch of Raheemies or Rutgers tools.

If we get even decent trade compensation, I am absolutely fine with Revis going.  But I'm not good with just cutting him.  That would be historically stupid.

Agree.  Let's put it like this.  Almost 99% of the sports world thinks it would be dumb for the Bucs to release Revis.  And get nothing.Do you really think that 1% is working at One Buc?  Realistically, I don't.He'll be traded.  Not released.  That spin is coming from Revis' agent to put more pressure on the Bucs.

I wish they would just keep him.  Does this FA class excite you guys to the point of dumping him?  Unless you are the Bucs accountant and we adding clearly great players in his space, why do we care how much he is paid?

Didn't hear anything going on with Verner today, unless I missed it. If Charles Tillman is the replacement, I'll have a face palm so epic I'll be scratching the back of my head.

I do not see the 49ers paying 16 million for Revis. It's not like he is the missing link in a SB run their defense is already pretty impressive. Plus I don't think they have $16 million.

Seems like we will wait until the 11th hour hoping for a better offer and then end up accepting a 3rd round pick for him.

The logic of the matter is that for the money we are spending on Revis we can get 3 or 4 pretty good players. And considering the holes we have, that can look enticing. IMO if you are going to pay someone $16million you are talking about the "missing link", and we are a LONG way away from that. I TOTALLY understand the logic of letting him go in some shape or form.

I don't see how the 49ers can fit Revis under the cap.
