I bet the Pats won't give Revis near what he wants.  They're just not a team that is willing to pay 12+ million for a CB.

damn really thought we could work something out with the Browns

Unless they just didn't actually put an offer on the table I'd think you take what they are offering.  I'd love to know what the terms offered were or if what torpedoed it was Revis' unwillingness to redo/restructure the deal. Given what Grimes and Weed got you know Revis will want to top that.

They will barely give a QB that kind of money.

If the rumor is true they are already offering him $12-13M

Did anyone un-follow Mevis and his b!tch boy manager? I did. Fucc him!

How can you possibly be mad at Revis?  Of course he wasn't taking a pay cut to stay on team that finished 4-12 and was the epicenter of drama.  And of course he wasn't taking one to go to Cleveland or Oakland.  And of course he would go to FA so he can pick and choose his perfect situation.  I see no fault in Revis.  Fault lies at the feet of Dominik, Schiano, Lovie and Licht.  Love the moves all you want, Im a fan of many of the acquisitions, but truth be told that this franchise has been set back.  Dominik/Schiano traded away the 1st and 4th in the first place which in hindsight is dumb (even if I was on board with acquiring Revis). And Lovie and Licht could do nothing to get any value back for Revis - who arguably is one of the most valuable players in the League.  Not to mention the fact that they let a leak that they would cut Revis 48 hours beforehand completely torpedo any and all leverage they had left.  Right now, face it Bucs fans, Licht is a guy whose sole contribution to this league as GM has been to not be able to get ANYTHING by way of value for Darrell Revis.  One of the best players of the generation still in his prime.  Own it.

How is he supposed to get value from an untradeable contract?

We'd have to guess that discussions surrounded a lower value contract and that no team was taking the contract as is.

So....how many wins did Revis help us get?  LOL.  He was overvalued last year.  He was coming off a major injury.  He wasn't close to being worth $16 mill. This is all on that sh!tbag GM Mark Dominik.  The reason we couldn't get anything for Revis is because he was making too much money.  I will laugh my arse off when he signs for millions less.  Weird.  If he was actually worth $16 mill doesn't it stand to reason he would get it again?  Nope.  This is all on MD.  What a crap GM.  I hope he reads this too.  YOU SUCK MD!!!

But where Revis shows his true colors is when he accepts 12m elsewhere, whereas he wouldn't take a penny less here. He's not just greedy, but a jerk.

Schefter just said that any trade talk with the Bucs revolved around a restructure and a deal was impossible.
