Bucs cornerback Darrelle Revis spoke with the local media on Thursday and reflected on his first year in Tampa Bay. Revis agreed with head coach Greg Schiano's assessment recently that the Bucs defense is close to being dominant, but also said some changes are needed to achieve that status. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&Itemid=20&view=item&layout=item&id=9517
A new coach will work wonders
I appreciate Revis for saying it!
In other words... Revis doesn't believe in the scheme.Doesn't take much reading between the lines to figure this one out.
Thank god we don't have to play Great QB's like Kellen Clemens every week or we would be in trouble!
This is Revis' way of discretely saying that Schiano's/Sheridan's defense sucks.
“This is my seventh year,’’ Revis said. “After every year I’ve talked to coaches and players and tried to figure out a way how we can be better the next year. Sounds like he looks to adjust things every offseason unless he hasn't liked any of his previous schemes either.
......trying to get comfortable with this defensive scheme because it was totally different than what I came from. So it has been a rough year...It has been a rough year because the scheme sucks. I agree with Revis.

You must have accidently left off part of the quote:“Yeah it has been a tough year for me individually coming off of the ACL and just trying to get back into football shape, and just trying to get back into the football mode – because I was out it practically the whole year last year," Revis said. "It was the third game (when the injury occurred) being away from football that long, it does take a toll on you physically and mentally. This year was physical and mental at the same time just trying to get back, and also being traded and being with a new team.
He didn't really start to complain until he brought up the scheme. Read between the lines. What is trying to get comfortable with the scheme? The world's greatest corner can't seem to get used to this scheme. Red flags should be going up. Because it's an unsound scheme. Revis is making half the big plays he should be making and it's because of the scheme.

ok, lol
OlafTroll playing the White Knight role for the coaching staff.
I think he meant that the defense does not stunt enough.
GA has it right. If the world's best corner is having trouble with the scheme, questions should definitely be asked. There are a lot of rookie qb's who have won against this defense. That's also a huge red light.

Lol real shit here. Obviously doesn't believe in the schemes or playcalling. Can't say I disagree neither. Thank you revis
