Just imagine if Joel and Bryan get on their knees and we get Dungy as GM and Gruden back as HC....I'd buy season tickets on the spot.
THAT would be interesting... ;D
Gruden was one of the only a few to pick the Bucs to go far this year . . . .co-ink-i-dink?
Davis is still listed as being part of the Front Office. Everyone else is gone.
crap.... this migjt end poorly
La Canfora has floated McKay as GM, Smith as HC, and Chris Ballard (formerly of the Bears and currently with the Chiefs) as Personnel Director. That's a very strong combination in terms of league and football knowledge, although Ballard's would be a lateral move rather than a promotion. Would McKay really come back, though? I can see how being a GM would be more interesting than a team president, but he left on some pretty bad terms.I was thinking earlier that a Ballard as GM and Smith as HC would be a good combination and would be attractive to both good coaches (I like the Norv Turner as OC suggestion) and personnel guys. It also might mean Marinelli as DC, which would be excellent with the team's current personnel. One caveat: La Canfora was insistent that Mike Sherman was the choice during the last HC search.
The organization needs to scrub out a lot of guys who are more behind the scenes who've been with the organization for a while such as Hickey. One thing that would concern me is dumping Dominik and simply handing the organization off to a guy already in the organization who'd retain essentially the rest of the personnel and scouting department. Those guys all can't be let go right away necessarily because they have responsibilities in terms of FAs and Draft 2014 but they need to go. I don't think the Bucs issues in totality were strictly coach related and I think there are scouting both at the pro and college level which come into play here.
Off-season champs!
Sherman will not be the HC. Did no one see his offense these past couple weeks? TERRIBLE.
Chip Carter on the local FOX Sports station says the Glaziers may bring back Tony Dungy.............. as the GM. With Lovie at HC. I'd be REALLY worried about the offense with them running the show...
There was a rumor when the Bucs were 0-7 that the Glazer were talking with Bill Polian. The rumor was that Polian would play a similar roll that Rich McKay has in Atlanta. Tony Dungy would learn the GM duties under Polian and Dungy would hire Lovie Smith as HC. We will see how this all plays out.

That's pretty much a given. He won't be the OC at Miami much longer, either. I was talking about 2 years ago when the team interviewed Sherman.
I would hate for McKay to come back. He destroyed our salary cap, then did the same for the Falcons and they kicked him upstairs. It took years to recover from him.

LaCanfora is making it up as he goes. That statement makes no sense. If Sherman was the Bucs choice then why did he take a lesser roll with Miami?

At one point the thinking was he was the choice, of Dom, but the Glazers wanted a flashier pick and so we got the whole chipper episode.

Not only that, his own hand-picked QB that he coached at A&M now has no confidence in him. That should be a major red flag, IMO.....
Sherman is a dud...
NO to Mckay.
