Lovie, yes. McKay, no. Lovie will bring a legit OC if he comes here.
Lovie runs cover 2. With revis? No thanks.
IMO, I think it's pretty obvious Lovie will be the next head coach, barring a better offer from another team. The question marks are GM, and his coaching staff.
If Lovie is hired first...here we go again!!!The GM needs to hired first and then let the GM decide who the coach should be...the Glazer really can't fuck this one too...can they?

Shouldn't the GM make the HC decision
I'd like them to hire a GM and let him do all the hiring. We need a culture change from top to bottom
I would hope that the Glazers do it right and hire a GM first and then let the GM spearhead the search for the next HC.Ideally, I'd like to see them hire a team president (Dungy, Polian etc.) and allow that person to basically run the team. Call up Dungy and ask him what would it take and how much and then give it to him. Then let him look for the next GM and then, together, they'd look for the next HC. But no way in hell the Glazers give up that power.

Have the Glazers ever let a GM pick the HC? McKay wanted Marvin Lewis, that got nixed, and they eventually got Gruden, and then got rid of McKay. And then Morris and Schiano were owner picks. Again, my opinion, but I think they want Lovie as coach and will take his input on GM on who he wants to work with.

maybe its a new GM, like an internal promotion

I agree. The Glazers may want a return to an older culture, though. The McKay rumors came out so fast that there's probably some element of truth to them, even if it's only a backdoor inquiry that McKay rebuffed. The stability (stagnation?) of the McKay/Dungy years were lost with Gruden/Allen, who weren't long term plan oriented. Dominik appeared to be a longer term planner, but his decisions often didn't work out, and he may have gotten the job too early in his career. He also appears to have had to weather a major budget cutting era due to Manchester United problems. And he was saddled with Morris, who was far too young for his job. Schiano was a fall back during an off season with very little HC talent available and a rejection by a good coach (Kelly).I'd be happy with Lovie Smith and maybe even McKay, but I'd be more intrigued by someone who came in with completely fresh ideas. Comfortable and trusting working relationships are key in either situation. It sure makes for a much more interesting and unpredictable off season!
Nobody is getting David Shaw...that point is muteThe Glazers need to hire a solid freakin GM...and NOT Scott Pioli...and then they need to hire Wisenhunt or Jay Gruden as the HCPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not give the GM and HC job to one man!!!!
Would you have the same stance if the hire is Bill Cowher? Or anyone for that manner.
No thanks to the cover 2. Jdubb would probably have a stiffy.I think Wisenhunt should get a long look.
The organization needs to scrub out a lot of guys who are more behind the scenes who've been with the organization for a while such as Hickey. One thing that would concern me is dumping Dominik and simply handing the organization off to a guy already in the organization who'd retain essentially the rest of the personnel and scouting department. Those guys all can't be let go right away necessarily because they have responsibilities in terms of FAs and Draft 2014 but they need to go. I don't think the Bucs issues in totality were strictly coach related and I think there are scouting both at the pro and college level which come into play here.
I think Stokes should absolutely stay. The past two drafts have been pretty good imo
