Nobody is getting David Shaw...that point is muteThe Glazers need to hire a solid freakin GM...and NOT Scott Pioli...and then they need to hire Wisenhunt or Jay Gruden as the HCPLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not give the GM and HC job to one man!!!!
Would you have the same stance if the hire is Bill Cowher? Or anyone for that manner.
As far as GM and HC? ABSOLUTELY!!! For as great at Bill Parcells was, even he couldn't pull it off...it is just too much. There needs to be a check and balance system in place. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And for the record...Cowher ain't leaving the cushy life in television!!
The organization needs to scrub out a lot of guys who are more behind the scenes who've been with the organization for a while such as Hickey. One thing that would concern me is dumping Dominik and simply handing the organization off to a guy already in the organization who'd retain essentially the rest of the personnel and scouting department. Those guys all can't be let go right away necessarily because they have responsibilities in terms of FAs and Draft 2014 but they need to go. I don't think the Bucs issues in totality were strictly coach related and I think there are scouting both at the pro and college level which come into play here.
I think Stokes should absolutely stay. The past two drafts have been pretty good imo
^^^^ THIS
I was thinking of Stokes
Anything's possible. That would be a big jump.
Per mort: Bucs will give consideration to reaching back to past, bringing back a Rich McKay-Lovie Smith tag team
TOTALLY down with that. Hire Derrick Brooks as director of Player Personnel, bring in Chuds as OC and we're on the way to rebuilding this team for the next decade.
Don't know what the obsession with having Brooks in a prominent FO role is about

It seems that a lot of people have no clue about the NFL outside of the Bucs and their past which is why we keep hearing Dungy, McKay, Smith, Gruden, Brooks in positions they are never going to get and/or aren't even remotely qualified for. It's a case of "OH, OH, I know this guy, lets give him this job."
its unfortunate because there is a good reason 0 out of 8 positions went to lovie last year. but never mind also the fact that lovie finished in 3rd or 4th place in the nfc north several times with one superbowl appearance and got fired for not moving forward on the offensive side of the ball.... just like dungy.
Dungy just tweeted out an endorsement for McKay and Smith to the Bucs. Wonder if he knows anything or if he's just in encouragement mode. Hmm . . .
McKay fine with a strong player personnel guy.Lovie yes. Bring in Norv or Chud as the OC.
Rick Stroud ?@NFLSTROUD 28s Former Bears coach Lovie Smith will be considered for several coaching openings but those close to him say he's very interested in Bucs job.

yeah, maybe too big. Raheem-like
sign me up!
Lovie isn't my first or second choice but I could stomach it. McKay however, hell to the no.
IMO, I think it's pretty obvious Lovie will be the next head coach, barring a better offer from another team. The question marks are GM, and his coaching staff.
Shouldn't the GM make the HC decision
considering their last two hires the Glazers should delegate it.
Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 1m Former Bears HC Lovie Smith is considered the favorite for the Buccaneers HC job, based on multiple league sources
