Offense:
QB 'Jaboo' Winston, Blaine Gabbert, Ryan Griffin
RB Peyton Barber, Ronald Jones, Andre Ellington, Shaun Wilson
TE Otarius Jeremiah Howard, Cameron Brate, An'tony Auclair
WR Michael Evans, Christopher Godwin, Breshad Perriman, Justin Watson, Jesus 'Bobo' Wilson
OT Donovan Smith, Demar Dotson, Caleb Benenoch, Alex Cappa
G/C Ali Marpet, Ryan Jensen, Earl Watford, Evan Smith, TBD
Thoughts:
1) RG / OL depth in general... 🤤😨😱😵
*clearly Arians is comfortable with the familiar free agent signing of Earl Watford at RG. I'm not sold, but looks like he will have every chance to prove his worth.
2) RB competition needed
*I love Peyton Barber, and still have a little hope for 'Rojo' but we could use another guy to push the group. As I'm writing this Rodney Anderson out of Oklahoma is available, would be thrilled to get him.
Defense:
DE JPP, Carlton Nassib, William Gholston, TBD
DT Vita Vea, Beau Allen, Raquel Nunez Rochez, Stevie Tui'kolavatu
OLB Shaquil Barrett, Noah Spence, Anthony Nelson, Devante Bond
ILB Devin White, Lavonte David, Deone Bucannon, Kevin Minter, Jack Cichy
CB Vernon Hargreaves, Carlton Davis, Sean Bunting, Jamel Dean, Ryan Smith
S Justin Evans, Jordan Whitehead, Mike Edwards, Andrew Adams, MJ Stewart
P Bradley Pinion
K Matt Gay
Thoughts:
1) DE depth
*outside of JPP, Nassib, and Gholston I have no idea what we truly have at DE. We appear to be one injury at the position away from a dire situation.
2) OLB depth
*looks like we will be relying heavily on Barrett, Spence, and Nelson to man the OLB position. Barrett has yet to play outside of the Denver scheme. Nelson has yet to play in the NFL. This is a worrisome unit, but still has potential to produce.
3) Youth
*the majority of the projected staters on defense are 1st and 2nd year players (Carlton Davis, MJ Stewart, Vita Vea, Devin White, Anthony Nelson, Sean Bunting, Jordan Whitehead, Mike Edwards). With the sheer volume of early round DBs, I hope Bowles finds a grouping he can work with.
