Jonah Ellis and Mike Green fall on Licht’s lap back to back years and he’s talking about Jose Ramirez in draft day press conferences
Signed,
The Guy Who Wanted To Make A Coke Snorting, Molly Popping, Michael Jackson Cosplay Champ the Highest Paid QB in the NFL.
Instead of exaggerating what I said you could have just said the guy who said trade up for JJ Watt
Or, the guy who once claimed he was an NFL GM to gain clout on a sports message board.
Spot on. Hurt me seeing Josaiah Stewart get sniped by the Rams - don’t want to miss on Chris Paul - still have Malachi Moore in my sights, too.Would love to see Paul Jr. here
I’m good with him or Winston/Watts at Safety.
Tykee to nickel?
Guess we can disregard that. Lol.
Yeah, I probably would have taken Watts and left Tykee where he is.
Dan Jackson is a good sleeper Safety for Day 3.
Hopefully Paul makes it to R4.
I actually prefer Tykee at S, but I get where you’re coming from.
If Paul makes it to R4, I hope Jason pulls the trigger and trades up.
I will take any pass rusher at this point! Our Oline is...okay. We have RB's. What we dont have is an intimidating D!
Watching Benjamin Morrison interview on Tampa Bay Buccaneers YT channel. Smart, great production, talked openly about injury history, said it was fixed. Great interview, father played for Bowles.
I was impressed with his interview.
McCants had a mental processing problem, very physical - but had no game awareness and didn’t understand the game.Well Schwesinger gone just like that.
Big time reach imo but again that's this draft in a nutshell.
Cards got Will... Cowboys got EZ.
He fell all the way to 44 and some wanted him at 19. Just shows how weird of a draft this is
Johnson got some f'd up knee(s) is why,
I havent heard the mccants story before my time, but Will johnson and keith mccants are 2 different guys, and from what a quick wiki read he changed positions from LB to DE his first year
Good athlete - just didn’t know how to apply it to the game.
Having an arrogant, dumb head coach, and a terrible front office and culture didn’t help.

id say our o line is top 5 with top 3 potential if Barton takes a leap like mauch did year 2 especially.
up there with Philly and Detroit.

You’re propping up Jonah Elliss? The guy who had a mere 5 sacks his rookie season? You’re acting like the guy came and dominated and is some proven commodity, lol. Licht is banking on Reddick bouncing back and Braswell developing for edge this year, and given Reddick’s history, a bounce back shouldn’t come as surprise if it happens.
CB was our biggest immediate need in defense, we all saw how bad the secondary was last season due to injuries, and Morrison is easily the best corner talent in the draft if the hip issue is behind him. Great pick. You don’t risk alienating half your fan base and waste a premium pick on a guy who is probably a sexual abuser who very easily could get in trouble again in the future, especially now that he has access to NFL money. Hard pass on Mike Green.
Mike Green took himself out of our lap.
Crazy what a couple of SA allegations will do to your draft stock.
But Licht took Winston 1 and White 5. Spare me with the holier than thou bullshit.
Exactly why "character guys" has become a high criteria for the Bucs drafting philosophy.
Licht is not going back to that era as he has chosen to turn the page and bring in players that buy into the Bucs current lockerroom culture.
With Morrison and Parrish the Bucs finally have DBs that can play in heavy cover 3/off coverage. Not to say Morrison and Parrish can not play m2m because they can do that too. But now having actually DBs that can have the sudden movement needed to put cleets into the grass and drive to the football is sorely needed.
Also means the Bucs can kick T. Smith and Hayes to safety.
So this is what it looks like so far:
Boundary CBs: Dean, McCollum, Hall, Vidal, Morrison and Funderburk
NCB: Parrish, Izien
SAF: Winfield Jr,, Smith, Merriweather, Hayes
You also have Wisdom and Banks that could challenge for a roster spot.
Secondary is pretty much set for the most part.

5 sacks is pretty damn good for a third round pick in his rookie season. How many did JTS, Logan Hall, and Chris Braswell have in their first years?

Not sure I'd ever use Licht's edge talent assessment as a yard marker for other's talent and production.
Licht cannot assess edge rushers.

Obviously, I don’t disagree. But 5 sacks is good for a rookie, especially a third rounder. 5 sacks is tied for third among all rookies last season.
