People were calling for Todd Bowles’ head early last year. They questioned Licht’s miss-pick or reach on certain young Bucs defenders. They further questioned him for giving aging vets above average money. Nothing in the NFL is ever perfect but the energy and attitude the defense is playing with us undeniable.
Top 3 in Ints and Sacks. Top 6 in forced Fumbles. Top 5 in Rush defense. The pass defense is still a work in progress but a lot of that has to do with playing conservative prevent coverage when we have a lead. SMH..
Their is a lot of youth on the defense especially the back end. They have played very solid for the amount of experience they have. It surelooks like we have a lot of solid building blocks to have a top defense for years to come.
Also Kamara, McCaffery, Gordon aren’t exactly slouches as runningbacks. Longest run giving up this year? 14 yards...
