It is becoming more and more apparent that the new Bucs Offense will be one which utilizes singleback, 3 or more wide receiver formations in order to spread out the defense so as to create favorable match-ups in the defensive front seven so that we can run the ball effectively. This is basically what Tedford ran at Cal and what last year's #1 rushing team the Eagles run under Chip Kelly. When people hear "spread offense" they immediately think that it must also mean pass-first however this is not always true. People that claim that Lovie's old-school, pound the rock and play great defense philosophy means that the new Bucs will run a boring, traditional, pro-style offense are going to be in for a rude awakening come game time. Tampa Bay is going to have a modern, aggressive offense this season, but one tempered by a strong commitment to running the ball and that has this Buc's fan waaaay too excited for the end of March.
