White may be the starter but Bucky averaging 6 yards a carry and should be the starter; white good third down guy
I know white was suffering from food poisoning- but the load sharing was 50/50 between White & Bucky. That was a significant upgrade from previous weeks.
Going back to my original question, White has 41 carries so far this season. ESPN says he is tied for 27th in carries.
Last season by this time White had 70ish carries.
As you say, RB duty was SPLIT Sunday, RB1a and RB1b
Obviously, thats a good thing for the Bucs.
Been hearing about possibility of twin RB sets… ugh.
By the way, passing to run, kinda means you have trouble running.
Hoping Goedeke comes back this week and we can get back to some run blocking to go along with better pass protection.
Ahh someone using context, good post.
This ^^ is the beauty of the Red Board.
If the roles were reversed the Irving side would be calling me a "White apologist" or something like "White fluffer" LMAO and would be DENYING meaningful context and posting things like "6.2 is greater than 2.1. . . . that is a FACT"
:-)
right on cue
That’s how averages work. You don’t get to pick and choose what plays to count.
"Right on cue"
Both players had the same average LMAO

Tell Biggs that . . maybe. LMAO.
Wasn't trying to group you in or call you out, its just that your quote gave the context for the example.

The monkey slinging his poo has no idea what he's talking about and is comically shameless. It's one helluva combo.

Biggs, posters like you -- posters who beat their OWN chest about their own "football acumen" and then try to put people down (with character attacks, no less lol) are the TROLLS.
Here's proof:
because Red Board is brain dead.
lol, of course .. . .
and here is you IN THE GAME DAY THREAD:
At some point, some of you people (not all) will learn not swallow preseason hype and coach-speak season after season after season
On the Red Board, the wannabe GMs are also the trolls. You might also be Bucs fans but your primary purpose on the Red Board is to troll SO "YOUR" willing to take completely inconsistent positions JUST LIKE HIGHLIGHTED HERE . . . so common, you couldn't help yourself even tough it was predicted lmao.
ROFLMAO
“With both of them (White and Irving) in there, they don’t know what we’re going to do,” Mayfield said.
Many on this board did not like the Bucky pick. Many...
I watched him play at Oregon and like I said when we drafted him, he's gonna be good. If he had a faster top line speed he'd of been a 2nd round pick.
Don't get me started on Moss vs Vaughn too.
Many on this board did not like the Bucky pick. Many...
I was one of them.
Don’t dislike the player, just had a few CB and IOL prospects available that I thought were better value.
Many on this board did not like the Bucky pick. Many..
This is sort of what I mentioned above.
Presumably, most here are Bucs fans BUT there is always a group here to mostly thump their chest about their own views on players. That quite often overrides the Bucs fandom. It also leads to people taking very . . um . . curious and contradictory positions BECAUSE the poster is trying to "defend' their pick/player, often defying basic common sense. In this thread, the arguments over whether White might slide to Irving persisted .. and were even trolled (lol). . literally, as the slide is/was happening LOL.
I am a fan of White and never really watched Irving before he got here BUT IT WAS OBVIOUS that absent some improvement White was going to slide. I mean, if for no other reason than that he was almost the entre running offense last year but then you add Irving's success . . .
funny stuff
Many on this board did not like the Bucky pick. Many...
You've mentioned this a couple times now. I don't remember anybody having any issues with the pick, but it's certainly possible. The team needed another back. He was drafted right about where he should have been. He's been spoken about positively since preseason by the overwhelming majority on the board.
Where and who were these "many" on the board that didn't like the pick?

"many" is ambiguous but there were quite a few who did not know what to make of Irving (me included) and some who were happy to trust the Bucs even though they could've taken a different RB.
Not all wanted to trust the Bucs OC though
I trust Liam Coen knew what he was doing, Ray Davis could have been gotten, and he decided to not pick him.
Fair point on Davis. But what has Coen done to earn this trust?
Biggs, seems you were not sold on Irving yourself? Wanted Davis instead?
That’s a deep dig @Blayton. Like @Biggsy said, I was hoping for more of power back to offset/maximize White’s 3rd down abilities… however, I do remember @FireBowles being an avid fan of Bucky Irving from the jump.
I think that’s all he’s talking about - he saw something others didn’t, and he wants others to remember - as Bucky seems to be about to break out.

Yes, agreed. Good intel from a Ducks fan. Fire's description of him is spot on so far. Not fast, but shifty. Hold the phone on "cant pass block" because he wasn't really asked to do that.
