Not suggesting they are better, just that the style might not fit White, at least as we have seen him so far.
I believe the improved talent on the OL and the scheme of the new offense is more the reason of the improvement of the Bucs running game. I think fans will be impressed with White's improvement once we see him with the first team. Not saying Irving and Tucker don't have talent.

youre probably right and it’s real good news if you are. Excited to see this seasons run game!
An improved OL will make this running back room look just fine.
Lets hope the OL has improved. The Bucs drafted a promising center, the Bucs are hoping Mauch improves and the Bucs signed a JAG for the other guard position. An improved OL will make this running back room look just fine.
I think if they were worried about how White fits in to the scheme we would have seen him get some action in the preseason games. I think the most that would happen would be a time share. Irving is too small to be the bell cow back. Not suggesting they are better, just that the style might not fit White, at least as we have seen him so far.

Exactly. White being in street clothes for both games tells anybody with a clue that his spot on the depth chart is secure.
Not agreeing, just posting:
Klassen sensed the Bucs had a wandering eye for a running back outside of the Tampa Bay area. When co-host Robert Mays asked Klassen for an “irresponsible player prediction” on the Bucs, Klassen dropped this bombshell:
“One of their top-2 backs is not on the roster right now,” Klassen said. To which Mays responded after chuckling, “I don’t think you are wrong about that.”
I am a fan of White but is it possible he slides down the chart?
Lol.
Are we going to let White get a carry with the 1’s in the new scheme before crowning Bucky?
It’s a bit early for me, the game with the starters is obviously going to settle a lot of this.
like the questions about the secondary, there feels like some weakness in the RB room. Could just be jitters. We’ve only seen our 2nd teamers square off against opposing JAG’s, for the most part.
While I love watching Sean Tucker do well with his pre-season opportunities, a few of us on here used to have similar conversations about Earnest Graham.
Tough not to get excited, even if we don’t have enough data yet.
A few more days and the smoke will settle. I think White/Tucker/Irving will improve the running game from last season. Mostly because the line is improved, but also because we can’t do worse than last place in the NFL.
I like Bucky a lot, but he’s a rookie and it’s hard to trust rookies. Sean Tucker’s jump-cuts are so sudden, he made the Jag’s look silly, hope we see more this week.
Liam Coen’s best vanilla offense will be on display, it’ll be stocked with the 1st team players, and hopefully for a little longer.
Either way we’re getting close to football!

of course lol. The words are future tense, right? "is it possible he slides down the chart?"
His style SO FAR has been (past tense) the opposite of what has been working for Irving. Here's his coach, Coen, discussing Irving:
“The nice thing I like about Bucky is he gets to his top speeds early,” Coen began. “Like, when he accepts the handoff, he bursts and accelerates through the hole and can make people miss in space.
The alternatives are many. Thats why I asked for opinions. He has holes to hit now. He changes his style. He excels in the new system, with new competition etc.
All of those would be great for the Bucs
It’s a bit early for me,
agreed, but thats why I asked. Most posts here are posters opining with limited information, like "what will their record be."
If White comes out and runs as effectively IN REAL GAMES as Irving has in limited pre-season games, the Bucs will have a great running game that really puts defenses on their heels.
Exciting to consider.

Oh, then that makes sense. You were simply opining that White was going to slide down the depth chart in 2025, 2026, or 2027. Naturally...
Bwahahahahahahahahaha @ "future tense"
Shameless.

or, um …. during the season … Mr Insecurity?
Maybe re-read DH’s comment and my response more slowly?
eh… who are we kidding?
Just read online where Cody Mauch scored a PFF of 49.4 for his play against the Jags.Lets hope the OL has improved.
