I think Otton was removed in that last drive because they were trying to get maximum protection package for Baker, that likely also included White, as he is a much better blocking/blitz-pick back.
I don't get the ball-washing hype for Tucker. He looked great against a Saints defense that absolutely quit.
I think he's a nice player and great depth in case White or Bucky get hurt. We pretty much never going to be rotating 3 backs.

agreed
It's not a conspiracy, it's just ignorance
well pick a lane
You were offering a conspiracy before. he's Thomas Jones. Its about White being a 3rd rounder

Exactly
He has become the cause celbre for different reasons. JC is sort of a one note "Licht is stupid so if I was the GM" type. Others are piling on Bowles. Others are trying to NOT say Irving is the man.
This kind of stuff always happens. Its why I asked when he would've come in during the last game? Its ONE thing to have this general gripe about his "underuse." Its another to actually figure out when do you sit Irving and White in a game where they are both hot hands.

You know when I would have played Tucker? The first drive. And the second drive. And the third drive. White was such a hot hand he had 10 carries for 31 yards.

you're kind of flailing
Its Irving in the 2nd and 3rd drive
Hopefully you would concede that White should be a better pass protector than Tucker? Look at the drives
Again, in HINDSIGHT you can make a case for any play over another when things dont work out. But the players are on the filed based on what the OC is TRYING to accomplish

Out outplayed the other 2 backs by a significant margin.
And, he was putting up big numbers in that game WELL before the “Saints quit”.
It’s not ball-washing hype, it’s a legitimate question as to why his playing time has been effectively eliminated as a whole, with absolutely no reason.

Rachaad was inactive vs the Saints.

My bad, you’re right.
He significantly outplayed Bucky.
In the early part of this thread - where Tucker is largely an afterthought - the reason that White is going to be top dog over Bucky is because White is the better receiver and pass protector.
That was the argument White v Irving, but has no place in White v Tucker?
Even after that incredible 4th down catch by White and the inside screen TD by White?
effectively eliminated as a whole, with absolutely no reason.
there are plenty of reasons?
I guess a big criteria for getting carries in Coen's offense is fumbling vs the Falcons
you can always find a basis to object but you're just moving the ball over and over (conspiracy, fumbling etc) now so it sort of waters down you guys point
to each each their own

Why would he play? White and Bucky both played great.
Tucker spells one if they aren't getting it done. He's third on the depth chart.
I'd like to see Tucker out there too but there was zero reason to get him in vs Niners and both White and Bucky played great.
