I didn't watch closely enough to see if the problems with Rachaad were due to RG situation, or if he just couldn't find the holes - Bucky had some nice runs, but again, I didn't pay close enough attention to which side of the line yielded the biggest gains.

Bucky looks like the real deal.

White was really good in the passing game.

Are people here still trying to say Bucky isn't good?

I haven’t seen anybody say anything of the sort.

He's def cutting into his reps. We already saw it.

The team was up by multiple scores. There was no reason to continue to send out the #1 RB, and the perfect opportunity for the rookie RB to get reps. As ADW said earlier, White isn’t some bell cow RB that will be toting the rock 30 times like Derrick Henry. It’s a long season and you want to keep your #1 as healthy and fresh as you can, so the #2 will get lots of opportunities.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White got plenty of carries in 2023 – 272, to be exact. In his second year in the league and first as the team's primary back, White tied with one of the NFL's best backs, Christian McCaffrey, for the second-most carries league-wide behind Derrick Henry.”

That’s 16 carries a game. Thanks for the inadvertent confirmation, numbnuts.

Biggs, take a deep breath.

the reason I asked the question that has you all worked up is because under Canales White had the ball so much. He was incredibly inefficient running but he had the ball more than nearly every other RB

This is a different OC so would he also run White that much? Well, Coen still asking White to do the same thing (hit the hole) BETTER that several coaches have asked.  But now there is also another back (whose first run was in the 2nd quarter right? lol) who seems to do that thing very well.

Irving is already taking plays from White AND THATS A GOOD THING for White and the Bucs. He’s not going to replace him (unless White really falls off) but his presence is improving our RUNNING game, as was pretty obvious in this game.

White is a good runner and a great receiver out of the back.

Check in after Week 1: Rachaad White is the starting RB.

Check in after Week 2: Rachaad White is the starting RB.

Need them both, as others have said; White is fantastic in the screen game. Bucky has been SO good hitting a crease and getting us in 2nd/3rd and short.

I think Coen is starting to figure his two RB’s out. Just like utilizing Baker’s mobility.

Week 2 check in: destined for bottom 3 rushing.

improvement from 32nd the last 2 years I suppose?

mauch in & goedeke out hasn’t helped.

our leading rusher yesterday? Big game baker. Let’s hope that doesn’t continue!

Only Biggs would make up a fake troll about RBs on a day when the "RB1" was out rushed by the QB and ran sub-2 YPC

Talk about DESPERATION

Some of these plays are DOA, White is getting tackled as soon as he gets the hand off.

especially true yesterday

and even with that he's still awesome in the screen game  . .. . just ask Godwin

**the original question was whether White might slide given that he doesnt run with the STYLE that all of the coaches say is critical (hitting the hole hard)? LeVeon bell was a great runner who ran with the same style. Obviously hWhite's passing game success is also counter

Need them both,

Godwin runs free for a TD with the defense biting on a potential screen . .  to Irving.

And he is in at the same time as White who is involved too.

So yes.  The BEST thing for the Bucs is that WHITE starts to pick up his running game because having them BOTH makes the Bucs offense really tough to stop.

yesterday was bad. I have to re-watch to confirm but it seemed like the entire right side of the OL collapsed when it was time for White to get the ball. Mauch has been awful this year
