I can absolutely blame Canales... that safety was so fucking obvious.
1000% agree with you here.
The run call there was atrocious. Clear as day what they were going to do and clear as day what the result was going to be.
I don't get it. We saw tons of zone runs in preseason, yet you go back and look at last night and we were over a 2/1 gap to zone run ratio.
What happened to challenging the boundaries? What happened to pre-snap movement?
We actually saw success with White off the tackles (4 carries for 26 yards).
Between the guards? 7 carries for 5 yards.
That's on Dave. Needs to do better in that regard.
He claimed he wouldn't ignore analytics all through TC, but then essentially threw them out the window and called the game scared in the 2nd half.
He's a rookie OC, so I know we'll have some growing pains. But, this isn't that same run scheme we saw in Seattle last year (or to certain extents, in the preseason this year).

The scheme isn't the problem. The real problem is so clear, Ray Charles could see it and he is both blind and dead, but you can't. Our offensive linemen ( The Jimmy's and the Joe's ) could not move thier big DT's ( Fletcher Cox, Jordan Davis, and Jalen Carter). But your argument is "we were over a 2/1 gap to zone ratio.
This is exactly what I meant, when I've told you so many times in the past. You have a problem understanding concepts.
Whether it's Pop Warner, High School, College, Seattle or Tampa, in order for your offense to work efficently, you've got to block people. The Philly defensive lineman kicked our OL's asses and took their lunch money. That's the bottom line, homey. Why is that so hard for you to understand?
I really appreciate everyone's input! I do like our OC. I know he's new and there's a learning process. The Eagles are a team fresh off a really close Superbowl. They have a great dline. It was just frustrating that we didn't adjust. The O line did get dominated in the run game the entire game. And the safety Dave took accountability for that ♥️ kudos to him! Let's hope we can get it going against the Saints!
